Well anybody wanting Vince Young we have our shot now. He was just released. I know that Orton is the talk right now, but I really dont feel like getting Orton brings anything really different than what we already have in Henne. Vince Young on the other hand brings a whole new angle for the Fins. The big question about Vince Young is his head. Can he keep his mind in football and can he learn and run the offense the right way. I personally would rather take the chance with Vince than pay Orton 7 Million when he doesn't look much better than what we have with Henne for cheap. I think Vince is going to be low risk and possibly very high reward.

You can get Young without giving up to much and he brings a unique factor to the game. I think this wouldn't be a dumb thing to do.

so lets see if scott hanson from NFLN last night was right when he said we have no interest

Ya now is when things get moving. Team will talk with Vince, then either use him as leverage with Denver, or say Screw Orton and go with VY (or both).
Meanwhile Denver might be going for some leverage having Orton taking first-team reps in camp so far..(or maybe they're serious, who knows) -
I'd love to see us get VY for less money than Orton and no draft pick.
Question though: Now that we have Reggie, do we get the deed to the Rose Bowl if we sign Vince too?dolfan32323 likes this. -
i´m really intrigued by this, VY and reggie bush talking about restoring some athletism and speed within our offense

How about......................get both. 3 way battle to the death for QB spot.

I really like the idea of bringing VY in, reminds me of way back when I was one of the few people in my circle of friends that thought we should bring in Michael Vick. Philly signed Vick to a low risk one year deal, and look how that has panned out. I don't see why Miami can't do something similar with Vince Young.

I'm thinking that we re-signed McD to give Denver Merling in place of a pick, although we may have to add a bit. I'm not sold on Orton but, if he comes in at around $6M a year, I won't complain. I still believe Henne will be our starter.
Young is leverage, and a possible back up option. -

This actually makes sense to me. I say what the heck and just go for it. We need to get over the 7-9 to 9-7 hump. This may help. If not, we are where we were to begin with. -

Young has a ton more upside than Orton. Hell, the fact that he can avoid a tackle already puts him ahead of Orton and Henne...I'm also not buying the negative spin on him. However, I have little faith that Sparano can handle anything other than a yes man. Sooo, hello Orton (Henne 2.0). Maybe if we use Henne on 3rd downs and not in the 4th quarter we'll micromanage our way to a playoff berth...

Wouldn't it be nice to use a player as leverage instead of the opposite for a change?

Young will be released by the Titans later this afternoon, which could play havoc with any leverage the Broncos may have enjoyed in trade talks. With Kevin Kolb almost certain to land in Arizona by the end of the day, Denver may be forced to accept a fourth-rounder for Orton
not sure if this is any type of update , but playing hardball is a good sign imo -

I fully expect VY in Philly, if makes it to Miami, great, if not, and we miss on Orton, and we sign Matt Moore as "competition"
