Speed team..
I thought it was interesting how he kept mentioning how good the oline is, maybe Turner has got those boys in shape and moving around real well..That guy is awesome so it wouldn't suprise me..
Like the Ryan talk, I do think he was mechanical last year, understandably so, I hope to see a player that can deal with the speed of the game, survey the field, spot a situation unfold, be relaxed enough to adjust his throw, and also be more fluid and quick when trying to escape from his pressure, I want to see him more comfortable playing the position, with the little experience he has I'm sure he will, and with the talent he possesses, this might be real fun..
I'm gettin freaking pumped for next week..Ryan was the star of camp last year, his presence and poise in practice was completely impressive I can only imagine how tangible a jump in comfortability would look like to the first time viewer..

IMO Miller has better vision than Bush. That can make the offensive line look a lot better. I think the two keys to being a speed team are a QB who can play fast and players that can space the field. I thought that last year RT had a ton of plays where he was ready to deliver the ball but the receiver wasn't ready. I'm hoping that this year our receivers will be on the same page and more adept at the skills this O wants. I also think/hope that a more experienced RT will anticipate when the play won't work sooner and react better.

I have been trying to ignore it because it still feels like an eternity away but I am starting to get really excited for this season to start. I can't wait for the HoF game so we can see some of this new speed. There is a local radio show here in Atlanta where Jamie Dukes is a host on it...he talks so much crap against the phins all the time and that asshat thinks he is the man. I really hope the Phins come out angry this year, we haven't proven anything yet.

Well, with that the bullet riddled corpse of the Parcellian Approach was found bobbing in Biscayne Bay.

The OL, DL, LB's, WR's, CB's and Tanny coming into his own are all major hopes I have for us this season. I also expect us to be better all around in our second season under Philbin, Sherman, and Coyle. Hopefully too I want to see the offense run the speed no huddle hurry up offense Philbin wants, wear down opposing defenses. This has so much to do with both conditioning and most of our offense, especially Tannehill, knowing the offense far better in year two. Last year they practiced it all through training camp but abandoned it in the regular season. Hoping that doesn't happen this season.
The first five games are a very tough schedule, and will tell us a lot about how well we can compete the rest of the season. I project if we start off 2-3 or even 3-2, we can expect to likely make the playoffs. Doubt we go deeper than 1-2 games if we go but that would sure beat another year of sitting at home during the playoffs.
I am pumped and ready for TC to begin! -
When you have speed and athleticism, it destroys scheme as long as it plays penalty free football. -

I'm not sure this team is somehow significantly faster. Mike Wallace and Dustin Keller are much faster than the guys they replaced, but otherwise? I don't think so.
I'm especially skeptical of Phillip Wheeler and Dannell Ellerbe. Kevin Burnett and Karlos Dansby aren't at all slouches in that regard, and when it comes down to it, I wouldn't be surprised if you could get a faster combined 40 time off of the old linebackers than the new ones.jw3102 and Stringer Bell like this. -
IMO He was implying that we're a speed oriented team, and not so much that we're significantly faster than before he got here. They did go from pretty slow to awfully fast at two of the more important speed positions though, that's what puts us over the top.
We have comparable speed to the raiders offense of 2012. So to come here and find out Miami is even faster would be quite a surprise.
Burnett and Dansby were born faster than our new Lbs... Wether they're faster still is debatable. Better overall? Definitley not, even before you factor the money we saved ! don't forget Dion Jordan either. -

I think Miller is currently faster than Bush as well as a more decisive runner. Mike Wallace is faster than Hartline was last year and Hartline is faster than Bess was last year (he will also hopefully be stronger/faster this year vs last year considering what he went through). Keller is faster than Fasano. So the main skill positions of rb, wr1, wr2, te are all faster. Throw in Jordan over Misi/Odrick and Grimes over Sean Smith and this team is much faster all around.

If he can remain healthy, Keller should provide a better target down field than Fasano did, but he is no where near the blocking TE that Fasano was. Hopefully Sims can step in and provide this blocking which will be sorely missed with the departure of Fasano. I just don't see last years TE draft pick, Egnew, being a member of the team once the regular season starts.
I agree Jordan is faster than Misi, but he still has to prove that he can get the job done in the NFL. Just because he is suppose to be a good player in the NFL doesn't mean he will be. I certainly hope he is an upgrade over Misi, because I consider Misi a below average LB in the NFL. -
Okay but where do I draft Miller in 14 team league
