I know it's contradictory to what I said on the site before it went down.....but we need to lose Cameron. I don't know who's available to replace him but the fact that he can't win ONE game is pathetic. His play calling is questionable but let's forget about that. How about the fact that he can't seem to motivate his own team? He's lost the players period and that is a huge problem.
I know that we've lost 11 players to IR and thats an enormous problem but Cameron needs to continue to field a team that seems to give a rats *** about winning.
I don't know about the rest of you but I can't handle the mere concept of possibly being this bad again next year. I just can't handle it. I'm running out of patience and things to break!!!
We need to lose Cameron and Mularkey. I'm sure there is someone out there that can get us to 8 wins. I'd take that right now. I'd take even a modicum of excitement and curiosity to see how we are ranking in the playoff hunt. IWe need to mater again. I can't take us turning into the Cardinals, Bears, Bengals, and Lions of the '90's. We deserve better.
The whole Ginn Pick was suspect last year. Now for me, what happened is in the past. But, I'm seriously concerned that he might make another bad decision with our top pick of next year.
We need to trade Ronnie Brown at the dawn of FA and get ourselves another good WR and a cornerback. We need to Draft McFadden and hopefully grab Colt Brennan in the second round. Then we need to target LB and TE big time. Let Beck and Brennan duke it out in Training camp and start the better player.
In terms of the ownership, Huizenga's livid. He doesn't want us to lose any more than we do. If he could think of something, he'd do it. I've met the guy and as you might imagine, he's no dummy.

now what did Mularkey do to you??? if there is one position on this offense that isnt terrible, its Tight End.
sure they cant block, but Peelle and Halterman (the little he plays) can actually catch. Martin CAN catch, but cant block a turtle.
this is what happens when we ditch Jim Bates, then Jason Garrett....two guys who did, meh....pretty good elsewhere. -
Tight end is good? What are you watching? How many passes has Martin dropped this year. I'll give you Peele but Martin? He needs to get out of here.
-
This team will not win until the turnover (roster and coaches) stops.
Cameron might be the right guy.
The players might not be the rights guys.
Losing is a result of instability as much as anything. So I will say it again -
This team will not win until the turnover (roster and coaches) stops. -
Ahh, the center cannot hold:
Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?
What rough beast is sclouching towards Miami this time? -
:confused2: -
Hey Zod, If that's true, then why weren't we superbowl bound with Wannstedt? God knows we made enough of a time investment in him.
-
WTF padre? Go wax poetic elsewhere.
-
I don't mean to get personal, but Zod is the only person on this board that is valiant for Cam Cameron. He's living in a fool's paradise. -
I can't have any dedication to a coach who has fielded an 0-13 team. Cameron could be a genetic hybrid of Lombardi and Shula and I wouldn't care. I care about wins. We have ZERO, NADA, ZILCH, NYET, NIEN, CERO!!!!!!! WE HAVEN'T WON A SINGLE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE FISH ROTS FROM THE HEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
BRING BACK SABAN!!!!!!!:couch:
-
The point is clear though. I don't care about Cameron's future. All I know is what I see. I see something we WANTED. We wanted the team "blown up". We wanted change.
I have not done but one of you may try. Travel around the league message boards. Pick out a team stuck at 9-7, 10-6, 8-8, and 9-7 every year. Go see what those fans are saying. They are saying the same things we said three years ago.
You want to know what we are saying? We are saying the same things the Lions have been saying since the dawn of time. Two Tacos likes this. -
-
-
I'm not saying I'm right or wrong by keeping Cameron because I cannot predict the future. I just feel that it isn't the right thing to do to get rid of him until he shows what he can do next year. Improvement is key and let's face it... the offense just isn't ready for Beck (poor pass protection, Samkon Gado?, WRs/TEs aren't getting time to get open to begin with...). Lemon can scramble and makes the offensive line's job easier. We aren't going to win with Beck so I guess you can choose what you want... Beck to gain experience or Lemon to give us a better chance at a W...
But in the end, we're just fans and it's all a moot point. -
-
Actually Zod, I always thought that you were just an "Offense Controls the Game" sort of fella.
For me, you can win with a mediocre QB, a bad RB will doom a bad team, for are loss to the Bills via Lynch, people forget that last season it was Mcgahee..
INOW, it's not the back, it's the system, last season it was Losman, not Edwards, yet the outcome is the same.... -
changing coaches every year is a big reason why we are here right now
-
I will say that Ronnie Brown is moving higher on my "things we can do without" list with each loss. -
"things we can do without"? I think if anything, the games we've played without Ronnie have showed why we CAN'T do without him!!
We need playmakers and most importantly a QB that can get them the ball!! Ronnie certainly showed he was a playmaker. -
you got to draft guys, stay the course and take our medicine now, we will dish it out later and i say when that time comes run it up on teams

As we go winless week after week, the pressure is mounting on the entire team to avoid going down in infamy. You can make valid arguments across the board for poor performance (new system, injuries, etc.), but the fan base will not stand for the organization standing pat at the end of the season. If we finish 0-16 there will HAVE to be changes. Heck, I'm surprised we haven't seen folks attending the game wearing paper bags on their heads ...
For Wayne, it comes down to rationalizing which change his ticketholders and fans will accept. The casual fan isn't going to care if the GM is axed - sad but true - however, they will expect coaching changes, specifically head coaching changes. Even if Cam is the greatest coach over, we finish 0-16 and all bets are off. -
One thing that I am always doing is studying the game. I'm always combating the same issues. Study what you need. Throw out the rest. But the longer you study, the longer you play, the more you realize that you need everything because in a ten game schedule- chances are you will see everything. Studying your opponent in high school is easy. They usually do one thing well. They either pass well or they run well. You take the one they do well away. You can't do that in the NFL. You cannot do alot in the NFL that can be done in lower levels (college included).
Defense is a response to an attack. All of the attacks have origination somewhere. I like hearing announcers say "designing more plays" when talking about an offensive coordinator. There is nothing original in football anymore and there is a mode of attack that most are following. Multiple formation has it's origination in two very basic modes of attack - Tiger Ellison's passing game and John Robinson's I formation. All offenses in the NFL are multiple offenses. Everything you see today was being set in stone in the 1980's. Very few ideas are new. When someone says learning the language all they are learning is a word for the same thing they already knew.
The fact is that there is less change in an NFL team in the action of firing a coach than there is in high school. Yet High School coaches keep their jobs and NFL coaches are on a carousel. Why? Pressure from public demand. You have to ask yourself where that demand comes from. I think I know exactly where it comes from. It comes from clowns (media) who make their money by stirring the pot on a daily basis. I refuse to participate in that any longer and I try to get MY team's fans to do the same. That is my voice.
I say let the others wander around aimlessly. Let them wander around not knowing a SINGLE direction. I say when you pick a direction, you go with it. You give a guy the same rope you SHOULD give a college coach. You bring in a coach to college and you give him four years. Why four years? Those are all his guys, from seniors all the way down. If he's not winning, he's fired. -
There is no way we don't go 0-16 and with that record, Cam is going to get the boot. The only questions I have is who goes with him and who is the new head coach.
I wouldn't be surprised if Cam is gone before the end of the season or even this week. -
didn't hayden fox lose all their games with the orlando breakers his first year and the win the super bowl the next year, see there's still hope
-
If Offense controls the game, then like a great defense it must neutralize the Defenses strong suit, it MUST seize hold of that strong aspect and use it as a hammer to beat on the opponent.
INOW when playing a strong running team, the offense must score quickly, when playing a strong passing team, the offense must protect the defense through ball control.
When using the offense as a the tool for victory, that offense MUST do both well.
The Colts were the picture perfect Dominant Offense last season. -
Cam is not going to get fired this year even if they dont win a game. The team has to many issues, injuries, rookies etc to blame this thing on Cam. I do think Cam has made some poor playing calling decisions which has led to a couple of loses this year.
If you listen to his post game press conference he is almost praising Lemon for the job he did, which is amazing considering he had 2 picks and 2 fumbles. He made it sound like the reason they lost was Becks fault. That was kinda pathetic excuse. He needs to just come out and say this is a rebuilding year, so deal with it. -
we need to get rid of cameron. I have never seen a coach so unanimated in my life. Anytime something happens, he just stands there and stares. no emotion at all. This guy cannot lead our football team. He belongs in the booth as an OC not a head coach.
-
Cam HAS to be fired. This team has shown, ESPECIALLY in the past two weeks, that it just doesn't want to play for him. They don't believe in him and they don't buy into his concepts. We shouldn't be surprised. This guy had a poor record in college and his only real success was with the Chargers as an offensive coordinator who just happened to have L.T. at his disposal. When you have talent at QB and a good o-line and pretty good WRs coupled with one of the best ever RBs and one of the best ever TEs, you can certainly make a name for yourself. Talent like that makes a coaches job easier and it sure makes them look better than they are. Cam Cameron, regardless of whether he is a good O-coordinator or not, is NOT a good head coach. Contrary - he is a terrible head coach.
We all know that Wayne H. has been slow to pull the trigger on firing guys in the past. But I think if you consider the proportions of how this team has collapsed, how bad this team is prepared, the incompetency in NUMEROUS situations, the indecision, the wishy washy personnel decisions, the MANY questionable in game decisions, the obvious mutiny that is beginning to take place in the locker room (that has likely been going on for a while - but only quieter) - then you have to think that Wayne is smart enough to see that a change is absolutely necessary. I would venture to say that some very prominent Dolphin Alumni are even putting bugs in WH's ears about the need to make a change. There are some candidates out there that could help this team.
There are some who think continuity is what we need. That sounds great. But before we go with the continuity, let's get a winner for a coach. Because I want continuity as well. But i want WINNING continuity. Hell, we had continuity with Wannstedt. It just wasn't the kind of continuity we wanted. Cam won't be either. So what would be accomplished by keeping Cameron? Another embarrassing season, only to WANT to make a change after NEXT season, only to see that the potential candidates were already hired away? Hell no. We have to do it now. Cameron has to be let go. He is a joke. This guy is absolutely clueless when it comes to game PREPARATION, MANAGEMENT, and MOTIVATION and, also very important, he seem to have absolutely NO game plan. I mean, he has nothing resembling a game plan. And he makes zero adjustments. There are just WAY too many negatives on this guy to even consider keeping him. I will be disgusted if we keep him after this season. Because it will be yet another long season with him - another season of wondering what what might have been. To hell with that. Let's go after a proven guy NOW. There are several out there. -
Why would they do that if they didn't want to play for him? -
Seriously though, my pimping for McFadden is for a purpose, he is a difference maker, we have only Ted Ginn as a difference maker right now.
I must say that LBook is starting to rub off some tarnish though.
right now we are seriously playing like every ball will be picked off and every running play will be stuffed, we need to flip that script and shine a bit.
Derek Hagan is the "perfect" locui of our troubles, he drops a sure fire TD pass, then catches everything else thrown at him.......
WTH is that? -
That's easy: PERSONAL Pride. But did they RALLY? Not really. They were never in the game. -
