It's game day!
Even though it's only the 2nd game of the season, this is a big game. There is so much negativity surrounding the team that getting a win will be huge for the organization.
It's the home opener and I expect the team to come out fired up with something to prove. The Raiders are banged up in the secondary and at receiver and seem to struggle when they come east. We need to start fast and keep swinging.
LET'S GO DOLPHINS!!!

I'm super pumped for the game. I think we will play a fast and energized game at home. It really would be nice to start the home season with a win! The fans at home really need to see a nice win to get them excited for the season. I think it could really help get people back in the stadium and more interested this year. We have played so poorly at home lately it would be a big boost in confidence for the players.
I'm really excited to see the RB's. Lane and Miller should get some carries and I'm interested to see them get action. I hope Tannehill and the coaches have adjusted to help with the tipped ball issues. Defense is looking pretty good but we need to put more pressure on the QB. Palmer will throw picks if we keep pressure on him and the DB's play well. I personally think Marshall has been inconsistent and needs to play better.
I'm excited to see the team progress this year and feel like things will be better than most expect. Either way I hope we get a win ugly or pretty. -
This is where I'll be looking for Philbin's intelligence in having developed a way to exploit the tipped passes issue. I think the issue will have been both solved and developed in a way that further attempts by defensive linemen to leave their feet are exploited with plays designed specifically to target that.

we dominate this game. defense, special teams, running game, with a decent dose of passing. Tannehill gets 230 yards, 1 TD to Fasano off a bootleg.
Miami 23 - Oakland 9 -
Well the situational stuff, like the Raiders making a cross country trip on a short week for a 1pm Miami in September, is about as stacked as it can be in our favour.
It's going to be very interesting to see how the turnovers last week affect both Tannehill's decision making and the play calling from Sherman. A deep throw on the first play from scrimmage against a defense watching film of three step drops all week might be a good call. Shame Armstrong is injured. -

Tanny throws his 1st career TD pass to....Legedu Naanee.
Dolphins win 20-10 -
Things to look for :
I smell a Sean Smith INT on the horizon........ perhaps a safety can nab one too.
Tannehill's first TD. Something tells me it will be a QB draw ! We'll def be creative in the red-zone without Thomas.
Palmer on the ground..... a LOT.
Davone Bess having a big game.
Randy Starks continuing another pro-bowl campaign. -
I will be attending the game live today for the first time since I gave up my season tickets three years ago. Fortunately one of my best friends works for a company which has a suite at the stadium and my friend invited my wife and I to sit in the suite, because it appears that not many of the people who work at his company were interested in going to the game. It will be nice to be back in the stadium for this game anyway. I look forward to seeing the Dolphins pull out a victory against the Raiders.
Perhaps the Dolphins will impress me enough today that I will actually want to purchase tickets to attend a few more games this season. We shall see. -
I would hope the tipped passes problem was priority number one in this weeks practice. We were actually in last weeks game until it all fell apart because of it. I feel the problem was corrected and we win today at home to give the fans a long awaited positive.

If we don't win this game it's going to be a long season. If I was hand picking an opponent for opening day, with a 1pm kickoff it would have been Oakland or Seattle.
I think the historical % is something like the east coast team wins the 1pm game 87% of the time. Throw in the short week for the Raiders as well, this has to be a home banker. -
I will be very disappoint if we don't win this one.

Hope we pick up a win today! Unfortunately for me, I have to record it and watch it later this evening. It's too beautiful of a day here. It's hard for me to do this, but Im going to hit the beach, check out some beautiful women, and relax during the day, then stress myself out later tonight watching the Dolphins.
Enjoy the game, and the afternoon everyone. -

Very big game for this franchise today. I believe more then anything, this team needs to get some wins under their belt, and start developing a confidence that this is a franchise on the rise. Its also big, because they have made it known, they want to re establish a clear home field advantage and identity. I feel if we can win convincingly today....it will be huge going into next weeks game against the Jets.
Lets get on a roll here....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!P h i N s A N i T y likes this. -

Philbin gets his first win. An ugly win, something like 16-13, but they all count. My gut feeling.

Not only do we win, but we will be tied for 2nd in the division because the Jets will lose to the Steelers. Than we will we be tied for first after we beat the Jests!
