I disagree on that one. Jones does not seem able to process as fast as Tua does. Jones played 3 quarters and could not get Parker the ball. Zappe comes in and has two nice throws to Parker.
It was a complete butt whoopin. It wasn't even close basically in every matchup. The defense is absolutely awful. Once tua started getting pressure his play just declined throughout the day. I guess that would happen to any quarterback though, there was pressure all day and we abandoned the run way too early. That's another glaring issue, Mike McDaniel had many play calls that were terrible and he reverted to his mistakes that he showed last year. This team has glaring issues when facing actual competition. We did this same thing last year, lets hope that this time we don't go on a crazy long losing streak and these boys make the proper adjustments. We have to get better this year and that comes from how the coaches prepare this team. The talent is there.
A couple of sincere questions… Was it me, or did it seem like Hill and Waddle weren’t on the field at the same time? Just seemed like when Waddle was in Hill was on the sideline and Vice versa. Did anyone even see X-Man on the field yesterday? I wasn’t sure Howard even played yesterday.
I'm at "bad games happen" for this one. Take the opportunity to learn and move forward, it will be a good test of the mantra about adversity that coach has been preaching. My main take aways are that the D needs #15, the O needs #58, #28 should be the starter, and Mike needs to call more runs.
Then they should have put X on Diggs. As much as I like Darth Kader, he was way out of his league yesterday.
X said the same thing after the game. So, we get some drama. Hopefully this doesn't matter once we get some of the CBs that are out back.
I know Ramsey is progressing remarkably and can’t wait to get him back on the field, I just hope he isn’t rushed too soon.
Sample size is too small to really say I think. From what I've seen, Gink doesn't set an edge as well, and isn't getting the same attention when pass rushing. Phillips draws more help and Chubb benefits. Regardless, Gink doesn't have to come off the field because Phillips is on it.
If Jones is worth 160 million, Tua is worth 700 million. If the defense can't stop Jones next week then they are in real trouble.
