A quarter of the way through the 2014 season, the Dolphins have been up and down, befuddling and inspiring, but there are bright spots that some of us may have overlooked (or didn't care about).

Besides PFF ranking Jenkins and Wheeler as their #1 and #3 4-3 OLBs, I found the following raw statistics pretty interesting and cause for optimism:

    1. Miami #1 at Kickoff Return Yardage and #7 in average. Pretty good showing from the rook here.

    2. Miami #1 (tie) with 5 forced fumbles and 5 fumble recoveries.

the bills game was the only game where the dolphins were outclassed in every aspect of the game. if the dolphins feed miller and thomas the ball agains the chiefs, they win going away.

Our receivers lead the league in dropped passes. (Buffalo's WRs have dropped 0 passes so far)

I'm surprised I'm not more surprised on both counts.
