Vegas doesn't want to commit to a true favorite.
We've been down this road of hope and opportunity before.
We need this win to keep pace with the Chiefs as the wild card race will be close this year. Indy is closing the gap too with their acquisition of Richardson.
This is a big time game that can have long standing ramifications for this team and the 2013 season. We are at home facing a depleted Atlanta team (even if we do win the doubters will preface it by saying we beat a banged up Atlanta team). No excuses.
I think we come out and feed off the energy of the crowd. Look for Jordan to contribute more and for our D-line to dominate, with no true rushing threat on the Atlanta side. Julio Jones will be matched up with Grimes who will limit him. Gonzalez may have a few nice grabs, but I think our pressure up front will control the LOS and our improved O will put up points.
Prediction: 27-17 MIAMI

Ill save it for the gameday thread I start Sunday :shifty:
Just so everyone knows, we are 1.5 or 2 pt favorites depending where you look. Lee Sterling a handicapper was on the Panther radio morning show and picked Miami straight up 27-14. Said we come out and go 3-0 destroying a depleted Falcons team.....then said "Panther fans will be rooting for the phins" cool stuff.dolfan32323, GreysonWinfield and xphinfanx like this. -
I do not see us limiting all their skill players on offense. I worry about our secondary depth for this game seeing as Patterson and Clemons are both banged up. Miami still hasn't learned to cover tight ends. Our offense will keep the game close to a point but we will lose out in the end, sadly.
Falcons 31
Dolphins 24 -
Hard to say. I'll give the Ankle(s) Behind the Head Report on Sunday morning

I think the Dolphins win by double digits....
28-10. -
27-24, Miami.

Kinda tired hearing about how depleted the Falcons are. Soliai is one of our best defenders and he isn't playing. Half of our starting secondary is banged up too.
We gotta take advantage of our home field. The building will be rocking! -
I would be more optimistic about this game if our DBs weren't so banged up.
It's goling to be difficult keeping them out of the end zone with this many injuries.
I'm going to say
Falcons 24
Dolphins 17 -

Screw keeping pace with the Chiefs for the wild card ... I want to keep pace with the Patsies for the division title

I think we do break 30 points this game. I'm going with 31-24. We stymie Atlanta's final drive with our defense with <1 minutes left in the game as they don't convert on 4th down from our 30 yard line. -
I think guys like Vaughn Martin should be to do a respectable job filling in for Soliai, and Steven Jackson's absence helps ease the loss of big Paul also. If anything, I think if Soliai had to miss a couple of games I'd rather it be against teams like the Falcons or Saints that don't have great rushing attacks.
I'm taking Miami 23-17 -
Dolphins 31 Falcons 20 - Tough game, but the Dolphins come up strong at home. Offense gains run/pass balance, and the D stifles.
-
Home at last and we blow a nut....35-21 miami
-
Not feeling good about this one. Miami tends to have a letdown after a big game...especially good at laying an egg at home.
Falcons 30, Dolphins 17 -
With the Falcons hurting on offense because White is not 100% and Jackson is out at RB, this will limit the impact Julio Jones and Tony Gonzalez will have against the Dolphins defense. The Dolphins defense has given up a lot of yards in their first two games, but they haven't given up many points. Unless the Dolphins secondary just doesn't show up to play because of all injuries to this unit, I don't see the Falcons scoring more than 21 points.
Assuming Tannehill's shoulder is okay, I think the Dolphins should be able to outscore the Falcons. My prediction is Dolphins 24- Falcons 21. -
ESPN reporting that Patterson is out :(
-
Dolphins 28 - Falcons 17
Big TD day for Ryan Tannehill!!! And Hartline's gonna score another TD... this year... no, I mean in this game! Wake - 2 sacks and Jordan gets one! Sturgis is on all my FFL teams, but only four extra points - no FG attempts. Lamar Miller > 4.5 ypc, 75+ yards.
And straight outta Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged, people are going to keep asking the question: Who is Charles Clay? -
Dolphins win 27-14 making believers out of the pundits and some long suffering Dolphin fans .

Im so siked and pumped up for this game... but to win I firmly believe they need to pull out 28-30 points.

ESPN reporting Davis and Taylor practiced all week and likely to play Sunday.

Roddy White is NOT...Roddy White like you expect him to be. Hes got a high ankle sprain...the only practice he has had this week is a limited session on Thursday
-
28 - 10 Phins. Defense rules the day with a TD off a fumble and refusing to give up points. This teams destiny lies with the defense this year.
-
I also have to wonder if Davis and Taylor are ever going to be healthy enough to contribute to this secondary. Other than Stugis, the Dolphins have gotten little or no help from the majority of the 2014 draft class. I also hope Jordan can step up his play. According to PFF, Vernon has had the lowest rating of all DE's in the NFL. I just don't think Vernon is a quality starter and he should just be used to give the other DE's a break for a few plays. Jordan needs to prove that he was worthy of being the 3rd pick in the draft. -
So that's two of our starters that are out, Solai and Patterson, which matches the falcons injuries, Their missing Jackson, were missing Keller, I don't wanna hear this Bs national narrative that the falcons are all wounded and sh&$.

The Phins are big time ready for this game!!! playing at home in a sell out stadium having a strong fans support, no doubt for me:
27-16 MIAMI -
The intangibles don't favor them either. Road game, outdoors, non-conference opponent, the Patriot's at home on Sunday night next week. As good as they've been over the past several years, Atlanta has never been good on the road, especially outdoors against upper echelon teams and Miami is now one of those teams. They're coming into a stadium that will be hot, humid, rainy perhaps, and facing a team brimming with confidence after two road wins and playing in front of a raucous home crowd for a change. I hope our staff is intent on turning this game into a slugfest, the Falcons will have no interst in playing physical football for four quarters.

The interesting thing to me is how people dump on Carroll when so far he is having a really good season.

To me the Falcons have always been an overrated team that plays in an overrated division for like the last 4 years. But they do have playmakers and the team knows how to win
