And I know I left on some sour notes back in September. But hey, it wasn't my fault that I wasn't here. Desides, Aqua4Ever, FinFanInCali, HardcoreXXX and like2god can vogue for me. For some reason, my computer and the site were not working together, it took the entire season, unfortunately, but finally it all got fixed and I'm back in business and wow, havn't the seasons gone totally unexpected as to what we all thought? Or at least to what I thought.
Firstly,
CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't believe it but you guys did the unthinkable and turned things around. The Jets? Well hey, at 8-3 I thought "Ha, exactly what I was thinking", and then the **** hit the fan. Chad Pennington had his second best season ever (nothing will ever top 2002 in my eyes, sorry guys and gals) and Joey Porter came back to life when the 34 came back into play. There are so many things I could say and I'm sure we'll all talk about them in the coming months, but Congrats guys. And Go Ravens. :wink2:
Seriously though, congrats again and I do apologize as to not being here. Some of you will believe me, some of you won't, and thats fine, I know I couldn't get on here or else I would've been, I'm not like that. Guys like Aqua, Desides and HardcoreXXX and like2god can tell you when they visted JN I told them congrats everytime they won big games and such.
I hope all is well and I'm glad to be back. Hopefully you all will be glad to have me back too.

Well, my thoughts are this:
No matter what happened, and we all know what happened, he was a risk worth taking. Chad had worn out his welcome so to speak here in New York, but as we all know now maybe it was the coaching, not him, and his arm wasn't as bad as we all thought. Anywoo, Brett brought belief and a spark to this team and the fans for about 11 games, 8-3, back to back wins on the road, one of which I was at (New England -- awesome time) and then the **** hit the fan. He hit the wall and played like absolute dog ****. Mangini continued to F up his in game adjustments. That is why you always saw the Jets with an early lead because Mangini is one of the best during the week, but during the game he is one of the worst.
I'm glad to see Mangini go, 2006 was a fluke season where nobody really knew much about him and the Jets had a tremendously easy schedule in December, not to mention zero injuries to speak of.
As for Favre, like I said, I hope he rides off into the sunset. Three of his last four years he's been brutal, especially late in the year, and it pains me to see one of my favorite players of all time, now playing for my team, falling apart more and more each week and now getting blasted by team leaders such as Thomas Jones & Kerry Rhodes, after the season is over and the Head Coach gone.
I personally wanted Cowher (duh), but now my favorite is Marty Schottenheimer. Thats who I want, for a number of reasons but I think this post is long enough, so I'll post that at later time. Who do I think will get the job? Honestly? Bill Callahan, the former Raider & Nebraska Head Coach. Will it be the right move? No. But this is the Jets.Paul 13 likes this. -

Brett Ratliff, the answer? Well, let me say it a word...
NO!!!!
The guy had two solid Preseason Games throwing against guys now working for UPS, Budweiser and your local Grocery Store, stocking shelves. He kind of had the Rex Grossman mentality of "**** it I'm going deep" Fan Club. He threw it deep a few times and David Clowney, one of the fastest receivers in the league, although young and never used, ran under them and made some plays.
If Brett Ratliff is the QB of this team, HA, I just don't know. He comes from the same Urban Meyer system at Utah as Alex Smith did. Thats all I have to know about the guy.
I want my boy Kellen Clemens in there, but inside the organization, according to my very few sources, the organization has lost faith in him.

I think the QB is going to be Kellen Clemens or Derek Anderson, I don't think Philadelphia is going to trade McNabb and I don't think St.Louis will look to dump Bulger. In the end it'll be Clemens or Anderson or Favre. Anderson is my #1, he is not the reason Cleveland went in a downward spiral this season.
As for coach I think the Jets end up promoting Bill Callahan or getting Steve Spagnuolo from the Giants. I'd much rather Spags, but my #1 guy is Marty Schottenheimer but all recent reports tag him as a "long shot", unfortunately. -
Woody Johnson (owner) - wants Favre for the sole purpose of PSL's, he isn't kidding anyone.
Mike Tannenbaum (GM) - 50/50 -- there are reports he never wanted Favre, but then at the Press Conference said he wanted him back as well. Who knows if thats Woody telling him to say that or not.
Players - Welcome him back IF he shows up for all offseason workouts, minicamps, OTA's, etc.Fin Fan In Cali likes this. -

welcome back dude. all i'll say is, i wish you did what i told you, and practiced "CAUTIOUS OPTIMISM". you cant be too confident in this league, fans are bound to get their hearts broken. its a lesson Raven fans could benefit from. if the Dolphins lose, we'll be fine...but if those Ravens lay an egg, you'll be hearing the cries all the way up I95!

Welcome back bro.
I would say that Common sense tells us that your story is solid...
I mean, if you were gonna play Canary, you wouldve been doing it at 8-3, not immediately after throwing away the division.... So yeah, your story is solid.... up until you started mentioning L2G, Enforcer and Travis that is..... shouldve just stuck with CONGRATULATIONS :pity:124 likes this. -
All in fun brother, of course they are two of my favorites :hi5:
Mike has been around. Would expect him to reply in here within the day
Also, I noticed in another thread you are against Shanahan going to New York. I would actually say he would be one of the better coaches that are looming and would be a huge upgrade from Mangina...just MHO. -
