My lamp just blew out in my 52 inch DLP tv, just as I was getting done playing a little Gears of War, and was about to watch the newly downloaded Clint Eastwood movie, Gran Turino.....

Now I gotta spend about $160 and wait for the new lamp to ship here. I'm stuck watching a 31 inch until then!:pity::pity::pity:

How old is the set, I have a 60 in Sony, bulb lasted 2 years, luckily they extended the warranty to cover it.

I don't know. It is very tough to watch SD (even on the same size screen) when you are used to HD. Dropping from 52" to 31" is pretty hard too. Definitely takes some re-adjustment.

Luckily my newest DLP is LED based so no bulbs. :up:

Just a TV? Pffft, tell that to my wife. Thank god its not Dancing With the Stars season, or I'd have to pay double just for shipping overnight.

Thankfully there aren't any Dolphin games that I'm going to have to suffer through on a crappy TV.

I don't care. I love this stuff. I am so sad right now that my 7.1 surround system has to live in storage. This 61" tv screams for adequate sound to go along with it.
