I can say with certainty that the open end of Heinz is brutal on kickers. I wouldn't expect us to try a FG of more than 40 yards from that end.

The Dolphins should have(and want to) to live up North from the beginning of December all through the rest of the season. That's how you acclimate.

If you spend the entire week in Pittsburgh, you're just making things that much more difficult on yourself IMO. Temporary facilities, temporary workspace, temporary living quarters, etc. It's an expensive hassle for substandard working/living conditions. You're much better off working, training, recovering and living at home during such an important time.
They'll put on warm gear and be fine.Bpk likes this. -
Non-athletes probably don't realize this, but the cold alone is not much a factor. You take the field 10 minutes earlier and you go to work. You jog around some, keep stretching, and then you take the field. It may be freezing outside but you're breaking a light sweat and you don't feel the cold. As long as you keep moving, you're fine.
The problem comes three days later when you wake up with a cold. But on Sunday, our boys will be fine. Just ask anyone up north that clears their driveway in the snow...15 minutes into it, you're burning up and ready to take your jacket off.Last edited: Jan 6, 2017 -
The players, when on the field will be fine. Off the field they'll have jackets and heaters and will also be fine. -
The cold doesn't get you.its the wind. If the winds are light it wont be a problem. If they're gusting you feel it go through you

Yeah wind makes all the difference and it looks like its going to be windy for the first half of the game anyway. Its good and bad for the Dolphins. The bad is the Steelers are better acclimated to the conditions. The good is it'll probably make the QB less of a factor for both teams (which is a big win for Miami) because both teams will have to run it more.
