Yes they are.
It's why they run up scores, it's why their starters are still playing full games when most teams would have them sitting in the second half.
Bellicheat is scum and he deserves a key injury just in time for the playoffs.
Too bad it probably won't happen.
There's no reason to ever run up the score in the NFL.
This isn't college.
A great example is the first NE-Miami game, the Pats have run up the score early on the hapless fins, fine.
Then in the 2nd half Bellicheat puts in the backup QB, backup QB throws a pick six.
Now Bellicheat is only up by 3 scores against a clearly inferior team with a quarter and a half to go so he puts his starter back in to run up the score some more.
I'm not saying he should be playing Wanny ball but when you're up by three scores against the worst team in the league there's no reason to play your starters in the 4th quarter.
None.
And when it's the 2nd to last game of the season, you're locked into the 1st spot in the playoffs and up by four scores to start the second half there's no reason at all to play the starters.
He wants the perfect season, he wants people to say he's better than Shula.
That's all he cares about.
