Can you imagine if we bring in Mayock to run our drafts?

A strong candidate has emerged in the #Raiders’ GM search: Mike Mayock. Sources tell me and @RapSheet the @nflnetwork draft analyst has interviewed with Oakland. He’s one of a few, as the Raiders have kept their interviews quiet. But he’s firmly in the mix.

To be honest I doubt he's more accurate than most NFL level scouts. He just has a persona and media coverage.

Interesting. I wonder if someone has compiled the data out there and ranked the draft pundits by their success rate? I am guessing they are all pretty inconsistent, like a lot of the NFL teams.

Since they review every player I feel like it sticks in peoples mind when they "hit" on a guy in the late rounds for example.
The truth is they might have given 20 or 30 players in the upper rounds solid grades who fail. We just forget the misses more easily.
