Okay, so we have covered the stupid things we've done. How about adventurous things?
I packed up a Ford Escort at age 22, told my mom and dad to sell off all that did not fit in the car, and moved from Pittsburgh to Hollywood, FL with the promise of a job contract and student loan forgiveness program. I still remember my mom crying as I drove off.
I have some more interesting things, but go for it people! Tell all.

Flew to Miami with a guy I never met before (Blade) in order to meet up with a bunch of other guys I never had met before, just so we could play a game of football and hang out. :shifty:

After living in the Florida Keys for a year, I went to Alaska with friends for a vacation. I just had to take advantage of this opportunity to snorkel in Alaska. There is no reef, but lots of cool sea grass and star fish. It was one of those "I did it" experiences. The waters were a bit rough, but not glacier fed, so the temps were about 54-62 degrees, and I had on a quarter inch wetsuit. I'm going to Alaska again this summer, and Ketchikan, but I won't do this again, but I'm not sorry for the experience.

Not long after college I decided to pack up and move to Texas (from Michigan at the time) with a woman I had only met once. Granted, we had known each other for like 4 years prior via internet communication, but to rather conservative parents it was a great shock. It was all the more shocking because I am generally a rather slow acting stick in the mud, took them totally by surprise.
Married her just over a year ago, no regrets we are best friends and happily married.
Also rather surprised my parents in my sohpmore year of HS when I decided to go play football. Again, I was the anti-activity kid who didnt really ever do much, so it was something of a shock.
Both times I just felt like shaking up my life and taking a change, both times ended up being some of the greatest moments ive had.maynard, Rocky Raccoon, anlgp and 1 other person like this. -

Went to daytona FL during spring break a few years back. Was out drinking on the patio when several guys who I had never met before wanted some coronas (my taste in beer sucked at the time).
I asked them what room they were in and they told me. So I grabbed a few beers and wandered down in the room. I remember the room, and drinking (an exchange of corona for hard liquor didn't seem like a bad idea at the time). I don't quite really remember exactly how I made it back up to our room, but I ended up passing out for the remainder of the afternoon.
It was adventurous because I'm usually very cautious and I don't really quite know what gave me the ambition to go down there.
Say, it wasn't any of you guys, was it? -
I dont really know what to put on here. So many things I do are so borderline stupid/adventerous. I once sang sir mixalot's "I like big butts" song kareoke at a redneck biker bar.......hmm, maybe thats more stupid. Half of them were dancing the other half were waiting for me by the end of the stage.

Drove to downtown WPB back in the mid/late 80's to purchase a sheet of acid for re-sale purposes back at school. Met up with two 'friends of a friend' who were supposed to provide the goods for the money. One of those 'friends' grabbed the keys from my ignition and demanded I hand over the money. I reached under my seat to pull out the money but found one of these instead:
I jumped out of the car with my buddy and chased these guys through the neighborhood until they tossed my keys to the ground. I retrieved them and ran back to the car to GTFO of there. We were two stupid white kids, age 16 and 17 or so in an all black, very dangerous neighborhood. We got back to the car and were taking off when the gunshots began. The guy we were dealing with got his brother and his friends as backup, they came out shooting at us!
I threw the car in gear and hit the gas, but a lucky shot took out my front left tire and we ended up swerving into an abandoned vehicle. We jumped out, still under fire, and keeping our heads down, made it into an alley where we were able to hide. The guys came into the alley, guns drawn, looking for us. We were petrified, my buddy was almost in tears and my knees were shaking so hard I thought I was going to collapse.
They found us hiding in an abandoned apartment off the alley and held us at bay with their guns pointing at us. They made my friend lay on the ground and one of the guys held a gun to his head screaming that we were two stupid white boys that were gonna have some real sad mommas soon. I still remember my friend reaching out to me as that guy pressed the muzzle to his temple, his eyes were pleading with me to do something, but I was paralyzed with fear. He was blubbering, begging for his life and he was reaching out to me pulling on my leg, begging me to help.
Speaking of pulling on legs....TokyoFishFan, NaboCane, SICK and 5 others like this. -

Colorado Dolfan ...dirty drownin' man?
Me and my buddies packed up for a trip to Ohio from Holloman AFB to go visit a girl we had met online over Thanksgiving.
We then went to Thanksgiving dinner at her parents' house and had to pretend we were college guys and not Air Force.
Lot of fun! -

Packed my Chevy with all I could fit in it and moved to Hollywood, FL. My mom was there.
Met my husband there, moved to GA, got married, have two great kids, two wonderful grandgirls. We're still happy after 38 years and no one thought it would last.
That's pretty boring. Maybe I can think of something more exciting. :wink2: -
:pointlol:
It's a true story, just embellished to the point of no return. -
About 3 years ago I decided to drive 13 hours from Ft. Myers, FL to Charlotte, NC to see a girl. Not that adventurous until you consider I made this decision after coming home from the bar at 2 AM and left shortly thereafter.
It seemed like a great idea at the time, but after sobering up about 4 hours into the trip I started having second thoughts
I got there about 4 PM and had a great 3 days partying with her (and her sorority sisters) on the UNC Charlotte campus, so it was worth it.Boik14 and opfinistic like this. -
