I just got this today while out with family. I have listened to the first four songs and it is very good so far.The 2 CD starts with 5 acoustic jams to include Tom Petty's Free Fallin', which I totally enjoy.
Next eight songs are with the blues trio Steve Jordan, and Pino Palladino. I have there Trio CD and it rocks.
The next nine songs are with the full band. I really enjoy his style, and I appreciate his love, and respect for Stevie Ray Vaughan as well.
Just thought I would pass this along. It would be good to relax with friends and an ice cold beer.:ffic:
I want to get the Live DVD as well.:wink2:

Going to SF this weekend, and who should be playing? John Mayer. My fiancee likes him, so we are going. His style is not quite what I like. But he is talented and has actually moved beyond the pandering love song writer he started out as. So I can dig it.

Thanks so much. I, too, am a fan of his and love his range. I first saw him on Directv 101 and must have watched it 8 or 10 times. Have always loved a Guitar Man starting with Chet Atkins back in the 40's and 50's.:hi5:

I would have to rate this 5 stars. The two CD's are awesome, as I am a big fan. You can give it a listen on the Amazon.com link that posted. Highly recommend this if this is your type of music that you enjoy.

I bought the DVD, and caught the majority of it. Very nicely done. I am not saying he is the next Stevie Ray Vaughan, but you can see some of Stevie's mannerisms in the DVD. You can also see John is having a lot of fun playing guitar. When Steve Jordan, and Pino Palindino play as the John Mayer Trio, they play really well together.
