I fully expect this team to win some games in a row and lead us to once again believe we have a shot at the playoffs only to let us down in the end again. As the old saying goes fool me once shame on you fool me again shame on me.
So who do want as our next head coach?

I guess I just want anybody can lead us to at least a wildcard game.Is that so much to ask for?

I'm tired of the Dolphins being the training ground for rookie head coaches and offensive coordinators. This team is no different than last year's snatching defeat from the heart of victory. 4th and 10 against the Panthers last year too. Vegas pegged us 7.5 wins.

You almost can't both commit to winning and not bring in either Harbaugh or Malzahn. Unless another hot name pops up, you just have to. Quinn, to me, is the defensive Cam Cameron/Joe Philbin. Those guys coached generational QB's who made them look really good. At least the league was smart enough to keep Tom Moore as an OC. Quinn has coached at the very least 3 legitimate Pro-Bowlers and potential All-Pros in Seattle's secondary, not to mention some guys like Bobby Wagner, Brandon Mebane, Red Bryant, Bruce Irvin (that one year he was good), and Cliff Avril.

As I've said before, I don't want harbaugh. I also don't want anyone who's never been a NFL HC before. We need someone who knows what the Hell he's doing and has been there done that before. This is the NFL. We aren't a 3rd rate college team who can only hope to hire other team's coordinators.
Ross let Philbin have plenty of rope and he proved that he just can't get it done, and he's stayed out of his way and mostly out of the limelight. I don't think that prospective coaches would use ownership as a reason not to come to the Fins. -
Here's a name I'm gonna throw out: Mike Tomlin.
If Pittsburgh has another down year and misses the playoffs, I wonder if the Steelers fire him/let him walk. I have no clue where he's at in his contact but I'd love him here.Tone_E, GARDENHEAD, DPlus47 and 2 others like this. -
This thread is taking a huge leap of faith that Ross will actually fire Philbin.

Philbin will be fired.
However, I have no faith that we will land an upgrade with Ross calling the shots.Tin Indian, Itsdahumidity and magicap like this. -

Joe Philbin.
Hoping for a new coach means hoping the team under achieves. A loser's mentality. -
Whoever did-up Shelby's face is more man than any person we have right now, so I vote we make her the new head coach.

Same Story for the last 15 years. I do not however, subscribe to removing Hickey at this point. I like the moves he made this year and unless keeping him precludes us from landing a truly great coach then he should stay. Another thing is I do NOT want a head coach that gets final say over personnel. It does not work. How can a coach prepare a team 80+ hours a week and have enough time to evaluate and hunt for players. Shula sucked at it. Belichek sucks at it.
I normally do not want a coach who has had success at another team. They do not seem as hungry anymore, however if Harbaugh became available I think he would work well for us. He has had enough success but not gotten to the top so I think he is still hungry. Kind of like Shula was when he first got here. -
