Hello fellow fin fans, since i am new to the phins.com, i figured i might as well start a thread.
although we all love all our fellow fin players very dearly[ aside from bobby carpenter, murtha, and mcquistan:tongue2:] who is the one u like the most?
for me, it is deff brandon marshall. forgetting the guys talent for a second, the guy has just seemed to make this team different. everytime henne steps back to pass, i always feel it has potential to be a big play with a top receiver now that we had lacked for years.
his blocking is also downright nasty, and the way he makes everything look so easy just makes it extremely fun to watch him.
also, his attitude just seems great. he is always smiling, always sounds extremely happy in interviews i hear of him, and he is always giving his teammates confidence for example, saying vontae davis is a top corner in the game, henne is a real good leader , and most recently bess is the best all time route runner he has ever seen[ although that one maybe taking it a tad to far right now]. anyways, just wanted to here wat u guys had to say.

Well Dan Marino is my favorite player of all time, followed closely by Zach Thomas, Oronde Gadsden and Madison/Surtain.
Currently I'd go between Jake Long, Bess, Fasano (who I love b/c he's a funny guy with his fake Lambeau Leap) and Cameron Wake. -

First off, welcome to the site man! great to have you here!
Marino is my all time favorite. Follow by Zach Thomas.
I'd have to say on this current team, its a toss up between Marshall, Wake, Vontae Davis and Davone Bess. Of course then theres Jake Long, Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams. I dont know man, its tough right now. I want a new phins jersey, but I just can't decide who. We have alot of great, team players on this team which is a great thing to have.ilovemyfins4eva likes this. -
Welcome to the site.
I would have to say it's quickly becoming Wake. What a beast. I like Dansby, Marshall, Davis and Long too. That's a tuff one.ilovemyfins4eva likes this. -

My all time favs are Marino and McDuffie. But on this current team I'd say Vontae Davis and Brandon Marshall.

All time: Marino is #1 followed by Zack and JT.
The current roster: Ricky Williams, Brandon Marshall, Wake. -
 the question was ....
-
Counting only the current roster…
Used to be Ronnie Brown, but I’ve had to mentally prepare myself for his imminent departure and so try to pay less attention to him. Vontae Davis is my favorite right now. I wasn’t here on the forums when he was drafted, but my understanding is that people were shocked that we would draft a “character concern” like Davis, passing on guys like Clay Matthews and Hakeem Nicks in the process. Me, I was elated. He and Sean Smith were exactly what we needed. Close second: Brandon Marshall.
As for players not on the roster, I’m going to skip the obvious (#13) and go right to #54. Zach Thomas is what people think Jason Taylor is. I wish the team would hire him and have him teach rookies and new players how to watch film, how to take care of themselves the Miami way, etc. -
has to be Cam Wake.. this guy eats, breaths and sleeps football
but Dansby, Long, Davis, Langford and Dan Carpenter are all in the mix -
Wake

Jake Long

All time favorite player on the Dolphins for me is: Larry Csonka
Stories abound about Csonka's toughness. He broke his nose about ten times playing football in high school, college, and the pros, causing it to be permanently deformed, and he would remain in the game with blood pouring out of it. He may be the only running back to receive a personal foul for unnecessary roughness while running the ball, when, in a game against the Buffalo Bills in 1970, he knocked out Safety John Pitts with a forearm shot that was more like a right cross.[9] In a close game against the Minnesota Vikings in the perfect season of 1972, Csonka was hit in the back by linebacker Roy Winston in a tackle so grotesque it was shown on The Tonight Show. Csonka thought his back was broken and he actually crawled off the field. Once on the sideline, he "walked it off" and in a few minutes was back in the game. His return to the game was crucial, as the winning touchdown pass to tight end Jim Mandich was set up by a fake to Csonka. He was named the 10th toughest football player of all time in the 1996 NFL Films production The NFL's 100 Toughest Players. Dolphins' offensive line coach Monte Clark was asked about Csonka's bruising running style, and he responded, "When Csonka goes on safari, the lions roll up their windows."

The unnecessary roughness call is one of my favorite stories! The way he played the game is what I admire most: toughness.
The only regret I have is never having been able to see him live.
Favorite player on the team right now is tough, but I would say:
Ricky Williams or Lou Polite. I always loved watching Marshall play on Denver and said to myself: "That type of receiver is what we need." Sure enough I was elated as I screamed in the law library (which is a big no no) at my law school the day the trade was announced!!! For that reason, I would add him to the list. -
Dan Carpenter.
-
Past: Dan Marino / Sam Madison & Pat Surtain
Present: Brandon Marshall / Vontae Davis
Brandon Marshall was my favorite player before we traded for him. -
My favorite all time is Marino followed close by Csonka and Kiick
Today's team Pennington, followed by Ricky Williams, Long and Davis
