I second the Bruce Arians love, although not sure if he's getable. Clear from the Cardinals collapse this year that he wasn't the problem there.

Frankly, coming into a spot like Miami, which is likely to see some roster turnover and new direction at QB ... probably is not unattractive. We have some core players. We have some strengths. We will have lower expectations in 2019 than, say, Cleveland. I mean, that is a supposed "hot" team, but with a mess of an owner. What happens if their new coach goes 8-8 next year and Mayfield doesn't leap into the top 8ish QBs. Is there ANY guarantee Haslem doesn't get mad and fire everyone?

Elway is on his 4th HC in like 5 years now and also has a big question at QB. The Bengals have big questions at QB and a miserable owner. Jets have a huge void on offensive talent and come with a questionable GM and expectations that Darnold take a leap. Bucs ... you want to deal with the dumpster fire of Winston?

If anyone watched Indy last night, they're the only team in the NFL with 4 starting linemen taken in the top 40 draft picks. And what did we see? Freaking dominance. Their rookie left guard was pulling around to the right side, clipping the DT and then absolutely laying out the linebacker as the RB came through the hole behind him. The very next play, he pulls and clips a blitzing outside safety before taking the corner's head off on a ridiculous block.

It's not "hard" to build a great line, but it has to be a continual investment. We took Asiata in 2017 and invested in nothing but veteran talent since then- how has that worked out? I think your 2nd round pick has to be on a lineman every season and you look for guys in that Incognito mold- tough, violent and looking for someone to lay out. Are they friendly, high moral character guys? Are you kidding? You're looking for pit fighters, not social workers. That whole philosophy has to change.

To the comment that it's hard to find that type of talent, I wholeheartedly disagree. You can find tough, violent blockers up and down college rosters in all three divisions. Bring these guys in and let them compete for a roster spot.

The plan could be just to have a 1 year coach to get through 2019, and then start anew in 2020 with one of the deepest QB classes in a long time.

Always wary of Patriots coaches. What I would be interested in how a Flores would put their own stamp and personality on the team and not just try to emulate BB. Learn, take in lessons, observe, and then adapt that to yourself. Don't be someone else.

Got a good look at Patricia in Detroit this year and that's the biggest issue - he's trying so hard to be BB Jr it hurts. From telling reporters not to slouch during a conference (seriously) to running practices in snow with no snow games on the schedule. Like, dude, you can't be a hard ass just for the sake of being a hard ass.

That said, the Detroit offense took a step back, but the defense WAS coming around the last quarter of the season.

That's where I see this going. I don't see this job as an attractive one to a quality candidate. Unless it's one with a reputation that can survive a 2-4 win season like Gruden, or a Harbaugh could while you rebuild.

I kind of feel like that's what Ross was getting at with his "Adam wanted to win now" line. He was pushing for a rebuild plan, and Gase said he wasn't interested. So it's bye-bye Adam. We'll blow it up with or without you. Gase was attracted to this job thinking Tannehill could succeed and he'd win now. He was wrong. His reputation is clearly still in tact if you ask the media, so it's likely he's confident he'll move on elsewhere with an established QB to "fix, or improve" on a team that's in a position to win. Not a super bowl contender likely, but someone that's just closer than we are.

Almost comes across as Ross was going to clean up the mess with the structure by removing Tannenbaum, and said to Adam, ok, Here's Grier. The solo GM. He's getting the control on the 53 as we rebuild. Are you on board? No? Ok. You're fired.

It's expectations. Nobody is expecting us to compete for a Super Bowl next year. I think there is a noticeable difference between a rough season like we had under Cameron and a season with a poor record but positives to build upon. Can we develop some younger players? Can we challenge teams and play hard? Can we avoid getting blown out every other week? Do the players respond to the coach? None of that happened under Cameron.

As for the job itself, it's fine. We have an owner that will give you a few years, a fairly well regarded GM. We have some good pieces. It's a desirable location. It will come with initial low expectations for a coach to start establishing themselves. It will allow them to help choose a QB rather than being forced to work with a, say, Jameis Winston. It's also one of 32 jobs. Granted, some of that may come as what you might consider a "quality candidate" but I see no reason why we can't make a solid choice with a good chance at success.

Let me just get straight to the point.

The guy i want to take over the Dolphins has coached 5 different quarterbacks to the ProBowl (Michael Vick, Donovan McNabb, Jeff Garcia, Steve Young and Brett Favre). *Notice all these QBs could run.*

He was the offensive coordinator of a top 10 offense in 2017 without a mobile QB. So, he is versatile.

He changed up his offense entirely this year and coached a rookie QB with 4.3 speed (Lamar Jackson) to a 6-1 record when other idiots thought he should be a receiver.

The guy I want is Marty Mornhinweg.

- I would not tank next season.

- I would hire Marty as head coach and offensive playcaller.

- I would see if Todd Bowles is interested in defensive coordinator.

- I would cut Tannehill and use the savings to build the defense.

- I would sign Tyrod Taylor in free agency...a veteran, running QB that has made a ProBowl. He should come cheap.

- I would use rounds 1 and 2 of the draft on the top run blocking offensive linemen available.

- Finally, I would use round 3 on the best mobile QB in the draft...Trace McSorley.

Have Marty work his magic with Tyrod and Trace as your running quarterbacks behind the best run blocking offensive line I can assemble. Ground and pound just like what Marty did with Lamar Jackson.

I'm talking heavy Run-Pass-Option with mobile QBs, 4.4 speed at RB, 4.5 speed at TE, and multiple sub-4.4 speed WRs.

We would be killing the clock on offense, while helping the defense at the same time.

Looks like Grier is definitely looking for a defensive minded coach.

I think we could be a running team for the time being. QB could be in limbo for a year or so, but even if we don't get our guy this year, once the line is improved, whoever the next guy is will have a significantly better chance of succeeding.

I would much rather overhaul the line this year in the draft and pass on a QB instead of packaging draft resources to select an overrated QB only to throw him behind our disaster of a line.

We have requested an interview with Vic Fangio. Oooooh, baby!

We need to gut the d-line. Now would be an ideal time to switch to the 3-4.

We would be the future. After every 4 years, I would draft another mobile QB...surround them with a top run blocking offensive line, and speed at the skill set positions.

Grier is a Parcells disciple so he’ll look to the coaching staffs in New England, Minnesota and New Orleans for our next head coach. I believe it will be Brian Flores.
