At this point, I would give Thigpen a 50/50 shot at running the WC this week. It has been set up all so well.

I'll bet you $100 we don't run the "WildThig" Sunday. I will even give you 2 to 1 odds on money (meaning I'll pay you $200).

I seriously doubt they have a special package for Thigpen.

Can we please drive a stake through the heart of the Wildcat now?
I think it's pretty obvious this year that it's fooling no one, and is a drive killer. -

if there is any team we shouldn't bust the "wildthig" out on, its probally Baltimore.

How many weeks will we have to see this thread topic? Is it just a +1 thing?
Just because it's in an offensive scheme somewhere doesn't mean that we will ever, ever see it.....that's why it's called practice. Thigpen can't pass like Henne, can't run like Brown...so we're going to put in a 2nd string QB so he can bluff the pass and struggle to run? It makes no sense at all. If we see Thigpen in the Wildcat formation, he will be a slot receiver or something to that effect...he won't be lined up under the center. -
BAL is one of the better overall defenses in the league and one of the best in stopping the wildcat. I would hope we do not try this crap and carve their weaker secondary up. Reed is back...that helps them.
-
So, is Thigpen taking the snap or is he split wide like a wide receiver?
-
-
Just give up on the "wild thig" package, it will never happen.

A Thigpen run on third down.
We haven't seen it yet. here it comes  -
Ill believe the WildThig when i see it.

I can understand why many think the Wild Cat should be put to sleep, and why a Wild Thig is not a very popular idea.
The WC has not done well, was laid off for two games, and looked it's worst last week. Why would anyone, in their right mind, even consider using it again?
Our own fans think that, and one would have to believe the teams in the NFL, including the Ravens, are thinking the same.
Seeing Thig, who has never run the WC in a game, would be quite a surprise. -
So, you want to take a formation that has failed MISERABLY this season, put in your 3rd string QB, who has never run the formation in a real game, on the road vs one of the best defenses in the NFL? No matter what other decisions the coaches made this season, that would be the absolutely worst of them all. Hell, Jake Long has never run the wildcat, they would never expect that, let's put him behind center. Thigpen is NOT Michael Vick, which is what we would need to get the Wildcat to run successfully vs Baltimore. -

If you have never seen it then you don't perpare for it because you don't have nothing to watch on film. And thats for a reason. Because the team has never ran it. And you won't see it this weekend either. See how easy it is to make a radom prediction? I don't dislike the WC i just dislike its inability to be productive, and we are playing a team that is excellent at stopping it. It won't be successful with a QB that isn't fast enough to be a major run threat to these guys. Passing out of the wc will only work if the wcqb is a serious threat to run as well.

There's a simple reason we will never see the "Wild Thig." The day the before the game, we will resign Pat White and bust out the WildPat against the Ravens. Clearly they will not be expecting it. We have been setting this up for months now, and it's all about to pay off.
