For fun, let's hear what dolphins fans think.
We are offering the most $$$$, the Rams have better interpersonal relationships in that curious sort of Bingo that happens among NFL employees.

I think yes.
-
My sources say yes.
-
I sure hope so.
-
I mean how can you feel any good being a Dolphin's fan if 2 years in a row the team was snubbed by it's number one coach prospect.
-
I hope so. I don't want to jinx it or get my hopes up, but I feel we're a better fit than the Rams.

Yeah, Ireland will probably hire that NASCAR meathead alpha redneck. Fits the tough guy mentality and uninspired thought process we've grown accustomed to...However, if they go with Philbo Baggins I'll have to say Touche'.

The fact there hasn't been any speculation thru the evening is a pretty good sign for us.

Hmmm...If I had to guess...I'd say no. I think nobody is too thrilled with the prospect of working with Ireland.
My personal fan perspective is that right now the idea doesn't thrill me but if he's hired I'll be able to get into it. -
I'm more for getting Ireland out of town then bringing someone in. Seriously, his decision making has been mediocre at best.

Just guessing but I don't think we get him. St. Louis is capable of paying big, and has a team he can mold and he would prolly get to sign off on the GM hired there. I think we end up with a offensive guy who is willing to keep Nolan. Chud, Pete Carmicheal jr. etc. somebody like that.

I'm gonna post this again, until someone gives me a tangible reason to want Fisher.
There isn't a damn thing in record, that is worth a crap.
16 seasons. 6 winning seasons. That sucks. Wanny had a better record. And if he goes 4 seasons not winning here, you'll all want his head. -
"If" a coach is not hired by Friday, chances are good we won't have one from the playoff teams , unless off of a loser, unitl mid next week sometime.
And then there is FA, and the draft, and the new OTA regime, and hiring the new staff. -
Probably.

From 1991 until 1995, Belichick was the head coach of the Cleveland Browns. During his tenure in Cleveland he compiled a 36–44 record, leading the team to the playoffs in 1994. In Belichick's last season in Cleveland the Browns finished 5–11.
Why would anyone take a chance on this loser??? -

I think Fisher will find the Rams a better fit...
Fisher may think Bradford can be a "franchise" QB and likes him over Moore.
Rams have the #2 pick in draft whereas Miami has #8/9...he may be in love with Blackmon or someone else he would be sure to get or could trade pick for multiple high picks...if a coach is going to rebuild high draft picks are a premium.
But most important with the Rams Fisher would probably be given final say in personnel moves and could hire a GM to work for him. In Miami Ireland would have final say...coaches LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to be able to control the roster.
I say the Rams are a much more attractive fit for a proven coach. -
Why wouldn't you bunch of anti-Fisher crybaby knowitalls want this guy?
If that doesn't impress you, then I'm afraid not much will.Puka-head, smahtaz, Larry Little and 2 others like this. -

I get it, you guys think he's gonna be our coach, and are trying to find ways to like him. There is simply no other reason. -
I cannot think of anymore pertinent a stat than his career W-L pct stacked against all the rest of the teams over the same time period. But, since you have some bias against him, that is just random and BS. Ok, I got it now. -

Initially I said "Why the F would he come here over STL with Bradford and #2 pick and choice of GM?" Then I saw they flew to meet with him in Denver???
Why would the St Louis Rams meet with him in Colorado without showing him the facilities where he would be working? That doesn't seem to bode well for them. -
I am also no idiot when it comes to football.
Jeff Fisher is one of the top 3 coaches in the NFL, IMO. I am not alone in that assessment. Numerous NFL people have said exactly as much. If you don't agree, then you simply have not looked close enough.
With all due respect, you are dead wrong about Jeff Fisher, my brother. I hope someday you get the chance to realize just how wrong you were. We'd be damn lucky to have Fisher as our next head coach.Puka-head, MrClean, Rocky Raccoon and 1 other person like this. -
16 seasons, only 6 winning seasons 10 non winning seasons. If Fisher is awesome, so is Sparano, because many excuses can be made for him. Lost his starting QB. Turned over half the roster. Meddlesome boss in Parcells. Owner change. Turned a 1-15 team into 11-5 team. Won the AFC East overt the Patriots. Ushered in the era of Wildcat. Blah, blah, blah. If Fisher comes here and posts the same record he did the first 1-4 seasons as a full time HC, you all will want to crucify him. -
