Just throwing out the 10 but thinking something in the vicinity or hopefully less would be pretty tempting right now.
Two CBs w some injury history is a little scary but damn if they aren't two of the best.

Per @AdamSchefter, Bucs will cut Darrelle Revis on Wednesday if they can't trade him http://t.co/ExTj4y4iUl

Depends on what we do with other positions on the OL and front 7 on D. If everything else is taken care of, why the hell not? Ex Jet or not hes a hell of a player even if he is a player who is all about his paycheck.

When Revis is healthy he's one of the best. When someone with his ability is available you should always be interested.
I don't know if I'd give him a gigantic contract, but I would love to get him at a decent price. -
Just to watch that asswipe who posts on the board, I think his screen name is IFELLATEDARRELLREVIS69RIMJOB, cry. I'll toss in a paycheck.

No, though with Grimes on the roster a two shut down Cb's would make Coyle a genius so to speak.
To easy to bypass a shut down Cb, two are a different proposition, thing is, we play Zone and man off, Revis is not at his best in that situation so it would be a flash signing a bad scheme fit.
Would rather just keep Carroll who really improved -
Revis was PFF top rated corner last year.
He can play zone. He's just not "Revis Island" when he's not in mandjphinfan likes this. -
What a fantastic trade that turned out to be for the Bucs.

If Revis is sitting there in a few weeks after the dust is settled, will take a one year deal, and we have the cap space, I say yes. No long term money though, and not at the expense of improving the team in other ways.

Who is our starting corner opposite Grimes?
Right now the answer is "TBA" -

Revis would actually help our run d. That's not the argument to make. Plus our run is poor because of scheme. We dropped from a top 5 run d to outside the top 20 without much change in personnel the last 3 years. Coyle is absolutely the problem or at least a big part of it

Problem is his contract is gigantic, lucky for the Bucs the contract is completely unguaranteed

Diminishing marginal returns. The marginal cost of his salary is probably greater than the marginal return of his play on the field. If not, we can probably still see greater returns if we spent that money on a disruptive pass rush like in Cincy from the D-Line and invest in upgraded CB play. Better pass rush with say Browner or Carroll would IMO be more effective than one Revis whose salary would cripple us. Completely inefficient use of resources to pay that big for a position that relies on other positions so intrinsically.

Revis's deal in a utility sense, would mean a Rook LG a Rook RT and maybe a Rook Rg -
no not at that price.

If we have the money I would. We would arguably have the top CB tandem in the league. That could really help the D.

I wouldn't trade my first, but if released I'd outbid other teams for his services. -

What makes anyone think that Revis would play for less than 10 million/year? The guy has consistently shown one thing in his career - nothing is more important to him than making the big bucks.

Hell no, I really don't get why CB's are making QB money.
IMO the highest a top CB should make is 5-7 mil a year. -
We have plenty of space. That is not a problem. And we could free up a ton next year when Wallace/Ellerbee and Wheeler's deals all become much more palatable to move (though I think Wallace sticks). Plus, we don't have to make a big money decision on Tannehill until after next season.
I cannot believe there is a serious argument for being better off with a Carroll/Taylor/Davis platoon. -

If they are to keep Pouncey though they are going to have to factor that in.....he doesnt strike me as the "hometown discount" type....Click to expand...
And considering he might be coming off a suspension for stupidity, he needs to tread lightly -
