What ever happened to WR's wearing jersey numbers in the 80's?
-
-
Landry started over as #80 how's that going?
-
According to some, apparently quite well...saying the Browns hit the jackpot....with a 3-6 record lol
-
How fun would it be if this guy takes #14 halfway though the season and gets more TD's and yards than Landry!

I'd be OK with it. -
Who would you rather have Mayfield or this sad situation down here in south fl with no qb future?
They will be better than us in near future no doubt in my mind because they have a future franchise Qb.This is years record means nothing when you are starting a rookie qb. -
Cleveland is better than us right now.. they've only lost two games where they weren't competitive, (Steelers and Chargers) and were robbed in two OT games. Their defense is stout. Their offense is in great shape for future. And that's even with perhaps the most incompetant HC in the history of the league.
-
Yeah, well Dorsey is much more of a competent football guy than the other shmucks who previously ran the show.Redwine4all likes this.

Pretty sad when we are saying the browns have the better future than us but its true.
We shouldn't even be talking about this in this thread but I got mocked by a typical homer.Redwine4all likes this. -
A least they have a legit QB who is able to see the field, find the open guy, and make the throw. My new nickname for the QB's we have is PROGRESSION #1.pumpdogs and Redwine4all like this.

They are much better than we are now. Sad but true.

I have not seen enough out of Mayfield to say he's a franchise QB so lets not jump to conclusions. None of the QB's that were drafted are showing much as far as I'm concerned. Next year is supposed to be even worse.adamprez2003, resnor, ChrisKo and 1 other person like this.

9 tds in his last 4 games is showing he is.progressing.If we had a rookie qb doing this u would all be anointing him the next marino!True story!Redwine4all likes this.

And we would be fools. People anoint QBs way too quicklyTin Indian, adamprez2003, Irishman and 1 other person like this.

I am bias because this is the guy I wanted in the draft and he is playing much better than tannehill did in his rookie season.
You might not be one of them but numerous people on this board fell in love with tannehill after his rookie season for whatever reason.
Just pissed we didn't get him.Redwine4all likes this. -
Yes, it's simple: our backup players aren't beating the pants off of starters they're facing, therefore they are wise than the Browns.danmarino likes this.

To be fair, Ryan Tannehill started his NFL career under Joe Philbin and Richard Sherman.Irishman, Pauly, resnor and 1 other person like this.

So if you were the owner of the Browns, would you choose Philbin and Sherman over Bowles and Kitchens?resnor likes this.

Gase, with his starting QB has performed better than Hue with Mayfield. And Gase has done better, so far, with RT's back-ups.
I love mayfield. I think he is the real deal. However, Ryan had a 4 game span where he threw 9 TD's early in his career. What Baker is doing right now is great. He is not, however, all of a sudden an elite QB. He's an 87 passer rating QB. -
They have got a lot of good young talent, partly because they have had a lot of top 5 draft picks for about the last 20 yearsdanmarino, resnor, Irishman and 1 other person like this.

Their core players are young...and improving. Ours are old and getting worse. They've been in every game but three. We got blown out by NE, totally collapsed vs Cincy,..both games RT played. We suck, they dont. Got it? lol.

Our problem is and has been our offensive line. They don’t give our quarterbacks any time to find the open players. It’s badicslly drop back throw or be killed.
Yes we need a franchise QB we don’t have one on the roster and if this isn’t addressed Our GM should be shown the door!!!
We have a lot of needs and issues but we have to fix the offensive line!!!!Irishman, Redwine4all, Tin Indian and 2 others like this. -
I may not remember every guy we have drafted recently, but it seems to me we can't draft OL worth a **** unless one falls to them in the 1st round. Find a hidden gem in the mid to late rounds? Not likely. If I was Ross I would pay a consultant (someone who knows their ****) to help us find good O-linemen. It's getting desperate.Redwine4all and Tin Indian like this.

I would have rather promoted one of our guy off the practice squad. Might as well see what they got to start planning for next year.
