My college did a punt pass kick from back of the endzone my freshman year for 40k. My roommate missed the kick (a 40 yarder) by a foot wide..

The next year the prize was no longer 40K and now 1K.

People don't like giving out prizes

 

It's embarrassing. If they were gonna have a contest that's impossible to win, then at least make the prize bigger. Offer $100,000. Your money is safe either way. You could offer 10K for a 40 yard kick and still be good. It's just a woeful lack of foresight by whoever made that call.

 

I will personally write any of you a check for $50,000 if you can successfully name every single player in Dolphins history, give me their height and weight, and provide their social security numbers.

and you have to do it within the next 5 minutes. (sorry Stephen Ross, you don;t get my 50k)

There is a very small chance. You could find some soccer players that could make a kick of that distance. It would be a long-shot, but still possible.
