They were originally going to film the park scene in my hometown but they were behind schedule. They filmed the auto factory parts in the next town over. There was a picture in the paper when Ron Howard was in a store in town buying some work boots. I could have been an extra if they hadn't run behind schedule:cry:

 

Dude that was my deal too. I'm sitting here watching a movie and seeing GAPING loop holes in the story.....but.....it had Joaquin Phoenix, and was a Shamalyan movie..who had the 6th sense street cred, good reviews, and was marketed as a scary as hell movie.....

....so stupid little me against his better judgement decides to "suspend belief" (which is what we're supposed to do with any movie) and buy into the movie.....and then at the end..for no good reason we get a "The whole movie was FAKE...GOTCHA!"

Like hell you got me!..so I walked out of that movie pissed :lol:

 

"The Hours" I would rather take a belt sander to my testicles and dip them in vinegar than watch that movie again.

I love The Rocky Horror Picture Show. You have to go to a theatre and see it.

 

The Hours was a decent movie IMO

My wife said the same thing...It hasnt really had that effect on everyone I know (I think maybe its was oscar nominated for some stuff) but Ive sat through nearly every Hugh Grant movie ever made (wife loves him and I actually made her sit through Mortal Combat so I owe her...forever) and never had an issue.... but "the Hours" was like hearing your most hated song on loop (mine would be the macarena) that got just a tiny bit louder after each play with just a hint of nails on a chalkboard in the background and the smell of a fresh dogfart wafting.


It was so hard for me not to walk out and I could NEVER do that to my wife....but I actually lost control when that one woman FINALLY jumped out of the window I screamed "YES!" and actually stood up clapping for about 10 seconds until I saw the look on my wifes face and was able to regain control....never felt anything like that in a movie before not even close.

 

My fiance enjoys the Mortal Kombat movie. :lol:

saw this story today on yahoo about a movie called "the room." people go to laugh at it. reminds my of steven seagal movies. people flock and recite the lines lol laughed my *** off

Stitches......The Mist? The abofreakinlutley awesome Mist? Why? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?

 

It sucked. The effects were lame. The way (most) people acted was beyond dumb, and the preachy woman was so ****ing annoying.

 

Overboard with Adam Sandler is hands down the worst movie of all-time. Check it out... or don't.

I hated the Titanic (Titantic? Who cares). An entire movie based on an event where we all know the ****ing thing sinks at the end. Had James Cameron opted to have an Alien or a Terminator kill everyone, it would've saved for me, but no.

And finally Contact. Did anyone mention this yet? Good God. I don't even know where to begin...

The machine was destroyed and someone had an EXACT replica built on the other side of the world?! Then the alien is her ****ing father?! ****!!!

 

I freaking loved it. Now I saw it in black and white, which was how the director envisioned it and it was even better. The effects were cheesy, but in black and white they were fantastic, the complete whiteout of the mist was frightening. The acting wasn't bad IMO, and Marcia Gay Harden stole the show every time she was on screen, far more terrifying than any monsters, I thought.

 

You guys suck. Seriously.

Thank you. Or you could come see me in the original stage version in October.

The Mist is a great throwback to monster movies of the past in addition to being a nice little allegory about mass hysteria. And there's even a nice Twilight Zone shoutout.

 

Have you guys seen the movie Cell with Jennifer Lopez? Well don't!

 

Thanks Doc, I knew you'd get my back. The people in the store were way worse than the beasts in the mist. And the ending was an all time classic.

 

The ending is literally mindblowing.

 

Is this the same Mist that was written by Stephen King?

Because if someone is bad mouthing Mr. King.. I'll kill'em.

 

Calm down Killa, King didn't write the screenplay, but it is a great adaptation with an outstanding ending.
