I've always had a thing for the Gibson SG.
And I absolutely can't stand AC/DC.
I like Fender Mustangs, too.
Uhm. Let me think a bit.
Edit:
Strat. SRV, Hendrix, Clapton.
Rickenbacker. Beatles.
Gibson Les Paul..
I like the look of the Dot but it's heavy as hell.. as is the Les Paul which is why I won't own one of either.
Univox makes a pretty cool looking guitar.maynard likes this. -
Ace Frehley is who made me want to play a guitar. So because of him I've always wanted the Gibson that he and Jimmy Page played.
But then I heard Van Halen and was blown away. So now I have a Peavy Wolfgang edition and a Charvel EVH edition. The Charvel is my favorite. It feels good, looks cool, and has great tone:

Great guitar. That thing plays like a dream... The pots are in bad shape..
Vintage axe.... Any ideas? -
George Lynch was endorsed an definitely one of my favorite players -
Gibson.. -
I will say I have a fender acoustic and its a very good guitar IMO. -
Someday I will own the '52 flat top
I hope....... -

Great studio Bass ...... -
The thing that bums me out mate is no "Big Muff" or "Rat" pedals
Those units were gold....
Still play with plenty of chorus and delay.... -
I own and love the big muff distortion pedal.
I have tons of electro harmonix effects... -
I have a les paul and i love it to death.. its an epiphone though.. close enough though

I'm new to this guitar thing but I REALLY love my faded brown Gibson Explorer. Incredibly well balanced and easy to play. I suck because I'm new but my buddy who's played all his life absolutely made it scream. He said his next guitar will be an explorer.
As far as cosmetics go I've always really liked the Les Paul style and was looking for en epi when I found the Explorer at a price that I couldn't pass up. I think the black beauty is one of the sexiest guitars ever made.

My Current Gear:
-Ibanez Ergodyne 5 String bass
-B.C. Rich Warlock guitar
-B.C. Rich Mockingbird guitar
-Marshall JCM 2000 DSL 100 Half Stack
just sold my Peavey 810 Bass Cab w/VB-2 head tour gear, needed the money. So I'm just using a small Trace Elliot 715x Combo for practice at home. Will probably look into purchasing something else later on.

Seagull make good guitars as do their company Art & Lutherie.

I have several guitars. For rock, I have a Les Paul and several Strats that I've rebuilt with new pick-ups, new frets, new bridge, new tuning machines etc..=) I think the only thing original is the body. =) One of them has a really cool original Dimarzio X2N pick-up in the bridge that I put in. It rips!
I have several jazz guitars. My gem is an all original, mint condition 1967 Gibson 175. I have a Heritage L5 copy, which is a company created by the original Gibson guys who left and started their own company. Their stuff is much better than the new Gibson reissue crap. Heritage is all hand made, like the old Gibson stuff since they are the old Gibson people.=D I also have a Benedetto. It's sweet. All hand made. Signed by Benedetto, as all are. Very limited production. -
Faith & Football my friend
Nice basses!
Ampeg are wonderful amps, have you tried gallien kruger? -
-
to me part of the instrument should fit the emotional attachment to the music you try and create. I think this is part of the reason why I don't have an SG.
:confused2:
does that make any sense? -

I've only been playing about a year, I have a pretty cool Les Paul made by Epiphone right now. When I save up some money and make enough progress with my playing I'm going to buy a bad*** Gibson SG. Or maybe a Strat. It's a tough decision. I don't get new guitars until I feel like I can play well enough to deserve one. The first guitar I picked up was some cheap acoustic and I kind of went from there.
Anybody who doesn't like AC/DC at least a little might want to check for a pulse. :tongue2: -
Last year Fender did a limited edition of 300 of Eddie's Frankenstrat. It's set up exactly to his specifications to match the 'Kramer' guitar he used for years, all the way down to the cigarette burns. Only $25,000, I wish they had made one left handed.
