Jerome Baker living the dream!
As for me, I have a few NBA jerseys but I've never owned a Dolphins (or other NFL) Jersey.
I think there are two reasons for that. 1 - I'm not keen on the baggy fit. 2 - The massive player turnover makes it hard to know who to pick. Here's to hoping we get some franchise players who spend their careers in Miami!
I'm more likely to get other Dolphins gear like t-shirts, sweats, hoodies, caps etc. instead of a jersey.

I got a 1984 throwback Marino jersey for my 30th birthday years ago. But I was a lot heavier then, so it's an XL and is too big for me to wear now, lol.
My other ones are a white Chad Henne jersey from a few years later thar I now call my Jason Sanders jersey, and a 2012 Ryan Tannehill that I found on clearance for $12 after they changed the unis in 2013. It's the one I wear the most.
I actually like the baggy feel as long as they aren't huge. Most of the time, jersey or not, I wear a tight exercise shirt as my base layer and a hoodie or larger shirt over it, so it's pretty normal for me.Kud_II likes this. -
Still have my Csonka 1968 Jersey from a few decades (well, not a few!) back. Still have it and on Game Day (If I can get a game up here!) I do wear it. Right now, as retired, I am stuck between the Jaguars, Falcons, and Seminoles for football.

I didn't get an NFL jersey until I was an adult and bought one myself. I don't remember if it was an orange Zach Thomas jersey or the aqua Jason Taylor jersey.

My first jersey was a Florida Panthers practice jersey my best friend bought me decades ago. The first one I bought myself was the knockoff Tannehill Tennessee jersey from China a few years ago, then I bought like ten more in rapid succession once I realized the quality is solid. So now I have Marino, Wake, JT, etc. plus several Heat jerseys as well.
My plan was to buy all the current QB's plus HOF QB's I like to frame and put up in my game room. No idea if I'll ever do it, but it seemed like a great idea at the time. The last ones I bought before the pandemic (and shipping from China coming to a halt) were Burrow, Lamar Jackson and Herbert, just because they were like $15 ea.Kud_II likes this. -
I'm almost certainly going to wait until the team changes uniforms again before I buy another. And then we'll see if we have any players that I like enough that I feel it's worth it.

My first football jersey was a Jake Plummer jersey....Cardinals....Then I had a Ricky Williams jersey while he was with the Saints. My first Dolphins jersey was a Cameron Wake one. I also have a Marino throwback, but honestly...I never ever ever wear them and I hate that I don't. My "style" just can't pull them off. I'm way too grungy looking to wear one. I'd have to get the proper haircut and all that. I will rock them if I go to a game and if we ever make the playoffs again, I will be sitting couchside with one on. Who knows, maybe i'll become the old dude who wears his Dolphins jersey every Sunday, but I simply can't pull it off anymore. I'm almost 40 now and feel stupid wearing them. Both the Wake and Marino jersey are a bit baggy on me. That's the other reason. I just can't do baggy anymore and I come from that era of embarrassing JNCO jeans. I have a Tannehill T Shirt that is now amongst my work attire. I dress pretty casual for work which is cool.

Dan.. Before I was even really into football (started really liking it around 11) but my father had me in a Marino jersey before I even cared about the game.
Don't really wear jerseys myself these days. I like T-shirts, or maybe a Polo. Jersey just not my thing. My girl still wears my old ZT jersey tho. -
Ok that's one I would wear. But can't afford to spend the dough on a nice authentic one. -
Chambers or Zach Thomas,, I forget.
Still want to buy my custom 72 with the name Perfection sown on...one day I'll do it. -

Right now on Ebay there's a signed Ricky Williams Dolphin jersey. I googled the signature and it's looks legit. I have no idea how much something like that goes for.

I've never understood the fascination with buying autographed stuff. I've never sought out an autograph, but I can understand why someone would ask a player to sign something if they ran into them in person. That way, whatever it is becomes a momento of that meeting. But paying a lot more than something is otherwise worth because it has a scribble on it? :confused2:

Surprisingly, I have zero signatures...I never kept anything because I didn't see the point. But there's obviously demand. -
Not everybody has a man cave but, somebody who does would love a signed jersey. The one on ebay is still only 52.00 which is in line with what the NFL wants for one of the "licensed" rip-offs with no sig. According to the Pawnstars a game worn jersey would fetch a whole lot more.

Terrell Owens. Seeing as my father grew up in Syracuse, he was a big McNabb fan and followed his career through Philly. He took me to my first NFL game in Kansas City and bought me a jersey at a local gift shop to wear to the game (I remember wanting a Brian Westbrook jersey more than anything, but they didn't have one so I settled for TO).
Eagles had a nice comeback victory. I got my first Dolphins jersey for Christmas the same year -- Ronnie Brown.KeyFin likes this. -

My first Jersey ever was in 2008 when i was deployed to Iraq. I bought a Ronnie Brown 23 jersey and had it shipped to me. I hung it on the wall next to my workbench and would wear my dolphins scrubs over my uniform in the hospital. That year the Miami dolphins cheerleaders came to Iraq on a USO tour and visited our hospital. My leadership let me wear my jersey over my camo uniform that day when they visited and let me walk around with the tour. Great memory from my first jersey!

Green Marino jersey in '87.
Next was an Orange Zach Thomas in '98.
Still have 'em, along with a bunch since. Will die with 'em, at which point they'll go to my son.Unlucky 13 likes this. -
I had a cheapo Wilson Marino #13 in the mid 1990's but my first proper jersey was a Surtain #23 home jersey from around 2004, just before he got traded to the Chiefs. It's a genuine 'as worn by the players' type shirt, with proper hardcore stitched numbers and nameplate and is heavier than most of my winter coats! I bought it off Ebay from a seller in the states for about £22 and a few £'s p&p and I didn't realise just how magnificent it was until I received it. That was back in the day when you could buy loads of things from the US for a more than reasonable p&p cost, unlike today where the postage costs and customs charges add up to twice as much as the purchase. The shirt has always lived in luxury, hung up in the wardrobe and is wheeled out for the Dolphins London games. It's just too big for your average day wear to the supermarket and stuff but it will get another outing in October.

Don't laugh, but...
...it was a real nice Davone Bess jersey and yes, I still have it. It's not a real Bess jersey, mind you, but it was of the higher-end stitched variety. I think they called them "Authentic" back then.
My only defense was that I got it on Ebay for like $100. Someone paid $300 for that when it was brand new. :O

Think my dad bought me a Dan Marino aqua jersey when I was a kid (might’ve been Marino’s last year or two in the league when I got it), then I got a Ricky Williams aqua jersey, then a Trent Green Orange jersey. As an adult, I’ve purchased an aqua Jay Cutler jersey and my parents got me a throw Tua jersey this past Christmas.

First was for my all time favorite player #54 Thomas, white.
My favorite jerseys are the custom ones I've got with my kids names and birthdays. All aqua for those
I've lso got a white JT, 3 Rickys orange and aqua Dolphins and a Navy Montreal. a throwback Marino and a 90's Marino both Aqua, Cam Wake BC lions, An authentic stitched Ronnie Brown Aqua, An Outkast #3, an Orange#8 used to be a Culpepper but I peeled his name off, I've got an old Players jersey that just has the old logo blown up on the front,
And the pride of my collection a Mitchell and Ness Csonka jersey that only comes out for special occasions.
I wear all of them, Shehack fans have a big"blue Friday" thing they all wear their colors so I have to rep then. But I'm a big fat *** and They are comfy so I wear them lots. Don't give a FLIP how I look or anybody else thinks I look.
They are a great conversation starter, I get to talk to all kinds of football fans at the grocery store, bank, whatever. Had a guy just walk up to me out of the blue when the HOF vote this year came out to say it was a damn shame Zach didn't get in this year cuz I was wearing his jersey a week after the vote. And I live about as far from Miami as you can get and be in the mainland US.
Fly the colors boys, who gives a flip if anyone else doesn't like how you look. Chic's dig the Phins and their colors, been getting me laid for years. Well til I got married anyway.
