I don't know about you, but I'm sick and tired of talking about the never-ending drama between Incognito and Martin, and I am excited to get back to football tomorrow night. It seems like forever since we played a game, and this one is huge for us, both for playoff hopes and for a much needed feel good situation.
The Bucs may be 0-8, but they still have a lot of talent. Mike Glennon has played pretty well so far and hasn't thrown an interception in the last 3 games, in which he also has 8 touchdown passes. Though they blew the game last week in Seattle, we saw how capable they are. They gutted the stout Seahawks defense on the ground all day long. This game to me is a lot like the Bills game. Protect the ball and force Glennon to beat us. If we can do that, I like our chances.
Listening to both Joe Philbin and the players speak during the week, they're pissed. All they keep hearing is how toxic the locker room is, how the locker room is full of bad guys and how there is no leadership around. Their characters have all been dragged through the mud. I've been saying all week how I thought this would bring the team together and galvanize them. There is definitely an "us against the world" mentality and I hope they show it Monday night in front of the same world who keeps on ripping them apart.
LET'S. ****ING. GO. DOLPHINS!!!!!

I'm really tired of it. We lost one decent player and one cry baby. Lets move on to football. The entire forum page filled with crap just sucks. At this point, I assume both players are forever gone, so who cares any more. I would like to get back to talking about how much we suck or anything over this horse ****. I think I have to wait until the exact time for kickoff to watch because we are going to get doused with a few more hours of it before the game.

Also this game is our season. 4-4, playing a winless bucs, after everything we been through, we need to come out fighting and make a statement. This is one of the most important games for this franchise imo in a long time. I hope we do not break tomorrow. I hope we can band together. I also think this game decides Philbins fate, if we lose bad, and he loses control of this, I am not sure he is with us the following week. Lets make a statement get that win. I would love a blow out but I just want to walk away with a win

Given the high fan morale right now a loss would probably mean even emptier stands for the next home game.
This is actually also a very important win for PR, to help our image.DeDolfan likes this. -
this is the only game I'm going to live this year so hopefully we play good

Of course, if we lose the press will say we have been 'out-bullied' on the field with Incognito.
If we win they'll say we bullied the other team into submission.
lol.
This is the Bucs chance to win a game, coming off a great game against Seattle on the road (TOUGH place to play), and back home, facing a Dolphins team in scandal and distraction.
Could be a bad trap game for us. -
I think the Jets and Ravens are probably the two biggest competitors at this point. Miami has a win over Cleveland in the bank, and plays San Diego next; a win tomorrow and a win over the Chargers pretty much knocks San Diego out as they'd have a 2-5 conference record.
I've got a sick feeling in my gut that Miami's playoff chances are going to come down to the week 17 game against the Jets; it'd just be too poetic for it not to come down to that. -
As much as I think we should win this game, all bets are off, however.

In a game where Revis will be plastered on Mike Wallace, the absence of Brandon Gibson hurts.
What's Tampa's run defense like? Because I remember reading it was pretty good, that interior is going to be tough to slow down. McCoy against Garner.. nightmarish scenario. Clayborn isn't too shabby either.
I think our defense will get the best of the rookie QB, but the corners have to do a stellar job. I believe our defensive line can get the best of their offensive line, but they're no pushovers either. Make Glennon uncomfortable and make him throw it.
We need more Clay and Egnew on the field at the same time, throw to whoever David isn't covering. -

Right now, they're just wanting that 1st win. Definitely a trap game for us, but we should totally dominate them and win this in any event. -

I love the way narrative infects and then shapes our thoughts.
- Tampa is reeling from a tough loss so they should be fired up. Not that they'd be demoralized for losing a close game to a good team to remain win less.
- Miami will be reeling from a tough week so they'll be demoralized. Not that they'd be fired up because everything they've ever done has been questioned and judged.
Who can predict what will what happen, but I assure you, if we were 0-8 and just coming off a tough loss to contender, the narrative here would be that we have little chance against the 4-4 team because we'd be demoralized.mbsinmisc, DeDolfan, Rocky Raccoon and 2 others like this. -

I just want Tannehill to survive the rest of the season...

This weeks starting left guard, doesn't "Garner" much confidence. :tongue2:
Still, no excuses. We win this thing. -

The Dolphins either win convincingly OR they lose to an 0-8 team and things just get worse. I don't see this as a nail biter. It's a romp or duck and cover.

I want to say we win by 21 but this team never makes things easy on itself.

Of course, I'll also take a 6-3 win and be happy about it.
