There are officially 8 teams left before the super bowl, so I was curious what everyone is rooting for. Give us two things here- (1) who you're personally rooting for to make the show and (2) who you realistically expect to actually make there. Here are the existing brackets-
AFC
vs
vs
NFC
vs
vs
Obviously we're all rooting for the Titans, but I'm also rooting for Jacksonville in the other game since their defense is 2Legit2Quit. I'd like to see Jacksonville go all the way just because they're probably the biggest underdog in the entire playoffs. Plus, what if Chad Henne is called to action after the weak Bortles play last week? I'd love to see Henne with a Super Bowl ring!
In the NFC, I'm rooting for the Saints and the Eagles to win, and then the Saints to advance to the show. So my dream match-up would be-
vs.
Ultimately though, I think it's going to be the battle of the offenses with Pats over Tenn, Pitt over Jax, and then Pitt finally getting revenge on those stinkin Cheats. In the NFC, I'm thinking Eagles over Minne in the championship game-
vs
I hear Minnesota is scary good this season though so maybe I'm wrong- I just couldn't pick a team I know nothing about. And for New England...I honestly think they're going to self destruct this season. Crossing my fingers on that one!

I think it would be epic if Jacksonville and Tennessee faced off in the AFC Championship. It'd be fresh and different.
I was living down hear Jacksonville a year and a half ago thinking, "this local Jags team is awful. I'm glad I'm not a local who has to root for them." It would be priceless if they made the Super Bowl a year later, especially with Blake Bortles still at the helm.
If we had a Bortles-Keenum Super Bowl, I'd die laughing. The sheer ineptitude of that Jax-Buf game was great. It actually made me appreciate a defensive struggle.
On the NFC side it's hard to pick. If the Patriots did make it, it'd be nice to see the Saints face them because (1) that's an interesting match-up we haven't seen in a Super Bowl yet and (2) the Saints could hang with their offense I think. Plus, it's surprising a team and QB that good haven't won a couple.KeyFin likes this. -
I expect Vikings vs. Pats, but the Vikes always find a way to lose (maybe Favre will come out of retirement to throw an INT in the closing seconds while in FG range to spare them the chance to shank another), so let's go with ATL - NE 2, Electric Boogaloo. I wouldn't even watch. **** the Pats, and **** the Atlanta 28-3 Falcons, you had your chance and deserve nothing good.
I also am not a Steelers guy, they can go away.
I'd be cool with any other team other than those 3.

Hey, I skipped the CFP National Championship...why not skip the Super Bowl!? Haha...I wouldn't...but I'd think about it!KeyFin likes this. -
I want Brees to win another SB. But my interest is primarily seeing someone defeat the Patriots and Steelers. Patriots is obvious, but Steelers have most SB wins and I don't want them to get ahead of us on that list by adding more.

For those who have never been there- you definitely need to go! New Orleans is easily the coolest town in the US with a vibe that sort of mixes Key West with 1800's America. It makes an awesome weekend getaway since there's so much to see and do. Then there's the food....which is a story all by itself!Puka-head and bigballa2102 like this. -
as long as the pats aren't there I don't care but I would like to see Drew and Big Ben dual it out. I honestly think a lot of teams are sleeping on the saints and they may shock Minn. I wouldn't mind Minn and Jax just to get some new faces in their and watch minn play at home in the super bowl.
But in all as long as the pats don't go im ok with it, anyone in the NFC im ok with. -
However, I will never take my kids to NO until the crime is under control. Hell, I won't go back myself until that happens. It's really a shame that in the last 20-25 years NO has become so rampant with crime that it's more dangerous than Afghanistan is today. I remember going there and seeing some of the beautiful 19th century homes and buildings...the last time I went some of these homes have been trashed. My last three visits I was offered crack or something else each time. I saw a guy stab a police officer's horse with a broken bottle. I saw a dude get stabbed in the neck with a knife. It smells like piss. It's disgusting... -
(1) who you're personally rooting for to make the show:
I'd love to see a Saints-Steelers Super Bowl. A very good matchup and lots of points to keep things interesting. The worst case scenario would be a Pats-Falcons rematch. You had your chance Atlanta and choked it away.
I'd settle for any Super Bow without the Pats in it. A Jags-Eagles game would be interesting in a train wreck kind of way. Which QB throws the game for his team? Why not both? :)
(2) who you realistically expect to actually make there:
*Sigh* A Pats-Vikings matchup. Case Keenum remembers that he is Case Keenum, and the moment is TOO BIG for him to handle. His meltdown game sinks a great defensive effort by the Viking defense, who had Brady playing scared most of the day.Puka-head likes this. -
ATL vs NE Part 2
Personally, I would like to see a PHI vs PIT -
Mike Zimmer's a really good guy whose been through a lot off the field. Loved him when he was in Cincinnati, so I'm pulling for the Vikings. My prediction for the Super Bowl is:
Minnesota/New Orleans winner vs. New England.Fin-O likes this. -

I think it’s inevitible that either new england or pittsburgh will be there. I just dont want both there, both franchises annoy me.
Heres hoping Blake Bortles and Mariota play out of their minds this weekend, and also that their defenses bury ben and tom six feet under.KeyFin likes this. -

ATL had their shot but they’ll beat Nick Foles this week imo. They’ll lose to the Saints-Vikings winner which is hopefully the Saints.
Pitt and NE were both gifted cupcakes facing Mariota and Bortles. I’d imagine either would be much less thrilled seeing KC or Baltimore had they not choked their seasons away (I feel no sympathy for Baltimore). I think Pitt gets their revenge in Foxboro as the Steelers will lean on the Pats D with Bell.
Steelers over Saints.
As long as it’s anyone but NE and The Iggles Im happy.KeyFin likes this. -

Honestly, anyone but the Patriots,
I'd love to see Brees get another Super Bowl win.
Saints are really who I'm rooting for, but I honestly don't mind any of the remaining teams in the NFC. I like the Eagles too, but their season ends against Atlanta this weekend.
Who I actually think will be there?

Thank you jacksonville from sparing us the patriots/steeler circle jerk next week. Now go bury Tom and kick the patriots ***. Big Jaguars fan here next week!

Jax D got lit up too, but also, by one of the best offenses in the NFL... NE’s offense isn’t PIT’s...KeyFin likes this. -

I was like “man, they had Donovan take em to 4 straight NFC championship games a little over ten years ago and now they are back and we haven’t won a playoff game in that time” lmao
Even worse, the Eagles haven’t WON a playoff game since 2008... the radio DJ was telling fans to enjoy it because “it’s been such a looooooong time since we WON a playoff game”
Meanwhile, Miami is mediocre and fans will tell me to have patience. LMAO that is funnycanesz06 likes this. -
Looking more and more like a defensive Super Bowl. Vikings vs Jags.

They simply didnt settle for potential, they went after BPA and let time take care of the rest.shamegame13, canesz06 and Fin-O like this. -
Ive been preaching bpa for a long time, and hopefully someday we finally take that approach. Until then we are a team running in mud.

Of the 4 teams qb's in the championship games next week, case keenum-undrafted, Blake Bortles- 4 years in the league and Carson Wentz, although injured and out while having a great year, has been in the league for 2 years. Then there is his back up, nick foles who was drafted in the 3rd round the same year as Tannehill, has gotten his team to the nfc championship game. Tannehill fans, please tell me how many more years he needs, to be as good as them and get us to the promise land

Marcus Williams is a stud free safety that made a very costly mistake. Saints fans arent going to give up on the kid, he made the INT that brought the saints back in the game. He was defeated and fell to his knees on his way to the locker room.
That last play will either make him or break him
