Vilma is already an UFA?
-
-
I don't think so. Weren't there some long term injury concerns for him? I seem to remember that being discussed on sirius NFL. I loved Vilma in college though!
-
Vilma is what 6'1" 230-235. That is NOT what Parcells wants in an inside linebacker. He'll want a guy 250 pounds or more
-

Thats the main reason the Jets may part ways with him. They run a 3-4 and his production has dropped since the switch. He's had trouble adjusting and hasn't registered a single sack the past two seasons. The Jets won't let him go cheap either, especially to a division rival. -
wouldnt be surprised...im sure we'll try to get draft picks for him first
-
That's very clearly not what it says-
-
I think it is a mistake to cut Zach. The guy can still play and has value to other teams, even we for some reason chose not to keep him.
My guess is that he will retire a Dolphin. -
I don't know the exact medical status of Zach's situation, but it will be a sad day when Zach Thomas either leaves or retires.
-
I think he really needs to sit down and think about what life will be like after football if he suffers another concussion. With his playing style and disregard for his body, it's very possible that he could suffer another. -
IMO, we would be doing Zach Thomas a favor if we cut him or traded him.
Next yr will be an actual rebuild, not half measures, the decks will be cleared, no exceptions. -
It would be about as good an idea as cutting Seau was.
-
-
The guy has his life in front of him. No need to spend it in a dark room.
He does continue to insist that he will keep playing whether it is in Miami or elsewhere. -
-
I predicted this to happen next year. This would be a dumb move because ZT can still play at a pro bowl level. He has this whole offseason to get his head straightend out. What if we cut him and he goes elsewhere and he stays healthy and plays great. We get nothing out of it but a big void at the LB spot.
-
I hope not. We need to draft a lineback or two, and who better to train them?
-
maybe this guy who wrote the article could probe the mind of bin laden, like he did parcells, and tell us where he is hiding
-
-
I'd prefer to see Zach retire this off-season regardless of what the team's plans are for him. He's been too big a part of the Fins for such a long time for us to gamble with his health, and I believe he'd be making a seriously large gamble.

I think, the priority is zach choice of life, but if he continue to play, so perhaps bill and ireland will request to take a pay cut, but I don't think they will cut him like that, he's a good football player, he give 120% every sunday, and parcells like that, size or not size ! period.
-
I hope Zach returns to the team in some capacity. Right now, he's still our best LB and Parcells loves LB's. Heck, if Dat Nguyen could fit on a Parcells team, so can Zach.
-
he'll retire before he's cut. I don't think Parcells would do that to him.
-
Vilma doesn't do well in the 3-4. Although I like him, he will not fit our system.
That is my understanding as well. Ashamed he won't fit the system because when healthy he is beastly.
