AFC East Thread

GalantForum VeteranOPQuite a bit of news about our division rivals so thought we could use a thread focused on those guys.
Aside from reports that the Patriots have been having a horrible training camp offensively, the latest news affects the Jets. They not only lost tackle Mekhi Becton for the year but Zach Wilson might be out for weeks.

SilverphinForum VeteranMiami's probably the second best in the AFC East right now.

GalantForum VeteranPre-Season game - Bills vs Colts - Case Keenum starting for the Bills. As one might expect.

GalantForum VeteranBills backups on D doing a great job covering the Colts 1st team offense.
Bills backups though, be like:

KeyFinForum VeteranI almost want to root for the Jets this year- it's no fun hating them anymore when we know they can't be competitive. I really want them to be decent again so I can get excited about kicking their butts during Jets week(s). That used to be my favorite match-up of the season.
Winning football games at any level comes down to winning in the trenches.

Not me. Having an easy schedule is a great way to get home field advantage and a bye.

I hear you Key, but there’s no way I could bring myself to root for the Jets (unless it was situational - we need them to beat Baltimore to improve playoff seeding, for example).
Too many years of hating the rest of the division to root for any of them, lol.

If you ever root for the Jests Key, I’m putting you on a Greg Abbott bus for New York! :wink2:

Tin IndianForum VeteranOf all the teams in the division the one I hate the most is the freaking Jets and their obnoxious fans! Bills are a close 2nd and somehow despite their 20 dominance of the conference the Pats are the one I cant stand the least. I guess I've been around a little too long and am stuck in the past on this.

Well... that was underwhelming. Not really worth watching.
Let's see if that sums up the Jets this year.

LOL, I already root for the Jets vs the Bills and Pats, plus against top AFC teams down the stretch. But they never seem to win any of those games so I guess I'm not rooting hard enough.

firedanForum VeteranIn the words of Jim "Mad Dog" Mandich, they are and always will be the "Lousy, stinkin' Jets."My favorite team to hate.

Next time you feel that way, just whip it out and slam it in the car door. You'll feel better

They should be. We are way more talented than the Jests, and give the Pats any other coach and the national types would be projecting them for a 3 win season.
This is a year to take a step. If Tua can even be a top 15 (let alone 10 or higher) we should come close to the Bills and really challenge for a WC.
Tin IndianForum VeteranGoing into the season with 2 guys with no experience as Co Offensive Coordinators and no one knows who is actually calling the plays. Is this the 2021 Miami Dolphins?
Nope it's the 2022 Patriots. Bill copied our approach from last season since it worked so well for us! Evidently he has a couple of his kids on staff there too and I hear they aren't very good coaches. And the National media still has them ahead of us!
I think this is this is the season where the magic comes off of Belichick.

I didn't believe it at the time but Billycheat lost his mojo when Brady left.
