You read the title. My mom, most friends, and everyone else tells me no.
I truly like her, and she apparently likes me. I got her phone number and have talked to her several times. Tell me why not...

You could drink legally when she was born. I find it weird. But that's just me.

You've been in your 30's longer than she's been a teenager. When you turned the big 3-0, she was 9. If the difference in age between you two was a person, that person could buy liquor.

IMO, hit it and quit it. I mean plow plow plow away. Why not? It'll probably be the last time you get a girl under 25.CashInFist likes this. -
I think you want to really examine what part of you is asking this questions and why it is asking. What is it trying to tell you and where is it coming from.
Often we have different voices and urges, some with higher intentions and other lower ones. When we follow through on our lower ones the result is usually shame and feeling bad about ourself, which turns into bad moods, irritability, and a ton of other stuff (take your pick from eating badly, not deserving a raise, feeling less confident, etc etc). When we follow through on our higer intentions we feel more self-accepting, confident, proud, and stand taller, and do better both in terms of taking care of ourself (health, exercise, finances, daily habits) and in how we teat others (happy people treat others better than those unhappy with themselves because they feel lack of respect for their own actions).
So check in with your own intentions and feelings around those before you decide.
I say this as someone who's a relationship coach. I;ve seen and heard it all, dude. Plus I've done what you're considering in the past. But I am not you, and you must see what feels right for you.
Good luck.Last edited: Jan 21, 2014DPlus47, MikeHoncho, inFINSible and 2 others like this. -

You should buy her an easy bake oven to show her you are interested.

My parents were 20 years apart, and frankly I didn't think it mattered. They met later in their lives though.
