Sure over all we are dissapointed to be playing games with no playoff relivence at this point in the season....but I dont have the sense of dread I did with some of the recent Phins seasons.
Please dont post just to be an asshat....if you really have nothing you see that gets you excited.
1) Tannehill's second season is definitely the thing I am most excited about. Im not an expert by any means....but I have seen more then enough, to be very excited for Tannehill as our QB.
2) Further development of guys like Lamar Miller, Reshard Matthews, Jonathan Martin, Reshad Jones...we do have some players to be excited about.
3) Another season under our belts with this new offense. I can only imagine how much of the playbook was limited this season because of a rookie QB....lack of downfield speed...a seam TE threat. Im excited about this young offense's future.
4) New logo and uniforms. Im excited about this....I think we will see something fresh and new, but still keeping a sense of Miami Dolphins history.
5) A draft where we are armed with mutiple early draft picks.
6) Being part of an exciting 2013 with you all.
I made this prediction kind of tongue in cheek with my friends when the location of XLVIII was announced....mostly because of Irony. Miami will make its first return to the Super Bowl since XIX...1984, because thats the kind of ridiculous luck we have. Playing the Super Bowl..in a snow storm.

Lot of ammunition in the draft for one. The development of Tannehill. Hopefully adding a playmaker at WR, a 2nd TE, a #1 CB, an upgrade at FS, and some depth at LB.

Well thought the young guys on the OL have gotten better as the yr rolled along
Like Thigpen, and Matthews as well. -
i would love to be excited but i have two concerns
#1 the way things sounds it doesnt seem that Ireland is planning on making a good move in fact i can see us striking out .
#2 the other concern is the Bills and jets making moves and passing us by leaps and bounds if our front office doesnt make a splash.
on what excites me if Ross catches hell from the league for the attendance and if he were to take action that would be exciting .
the new uniforms is probally a hoax for all we ever do is wear the all white.
actually I am excited about our defensive line and that is all until the front office shows us something . :flag:
there could be more to be excited about but lets not use this win as the everything is just fine Jacksonville is horible and we need more moves that enable us to feel excited about. -

That Hartline guy should probably be resigned, he's played well this year.

While I am excited with the possibility Tannehill gives this team a legitimate QB for the first time since Chad Pennington took the team to the playoffs in 2008.
My overall excitement regarding this team in tempered by my fear that Ireland will screw up yet another draft. Until I see the players he drafts and signs in free agency in 2013 and how they perform on the playing field, I will continue to have concerns regarding this team going forward. If Ireland remains the GM going into next season. It will be entirely up to him to select players who will improve this offense and maintain the core players on the defense. I hope he proves me wrong and he has a productive off season in regards to drafting and signing free agents. Because if he doesn't, we will all be sitting here once again at the end of next season, discussing what the Dolphins have to do to get beyond mediocre.Aquafin likes this. -

Tannehill. Cap room. Draft picks. Come on Miami, the tools are there...

I'm very excited because I firmly believe we are close. I believe people are getting caught up in the overall record and seeing it as "not close". I believe its more indicative to look at the scores of the games, to see just how close we were to being a double digit win team.
I know, I know, "You are what your record says you are", but your current record does not say who will be next year though. If you go back through our games you'll see there are veeeeeeerrrrrrrrryyyy few where we were dominated. In fact, I guarantee we are the last team any other team wants to play that has a losing record. They say this is a game of inches and in the past we were bad by yards, this year we've been off by a foot or two. -
There is hope, in theory, in the cap room and draft picks. But, like others, Im hesitant due to the guys we have in charge of those.
Tannehill should develop in the offseason and into next year. He should have a better feel & rythm with Bess and Hartline. Philbin should be more comfortable as HC, and Coyle as DC. Some of the younger players on defense should be better.
However, if the team doesnt bring in a real veteran #1 WR, and hopefully a pass catching TE, then whats the point of it all? How does the team get better? -

The draft...
Seeing what we really have when Tanny and the offense are in their second year... Should mean better execution by the other players too.
We forget that not only do we have a rookie QB... But all the offensive players are in their first year of a new play book. Neither Luck nor RGIII's supporting casts are dealing with that, I don't think. Though I could be mistaken. -
Meh, it's like a sporadic logarithm within a logarithm. There will be ups and downs but at least it looks like the future is trending upward overall. Fix that offensive line and you've got a young Brady that can run.
Oh yeah, the draft should be high *** drama this year...
