Bad News gang all our f/a wrs are getting more interest from other teams and Mike Wallace is being pursued by the vikings because they are parting ways with Percy Harvin.
if other teams are making movves then what is Miami waiting for ? I wouldnt be upset if I Knew that we are not going have to settle on seeing Bess and Hartline not scaring oposing defenses again . I thought we were going to up grade our offense but so far our rivials are on the move but we are seemingly resigning below average players but we are letting our better players go.
Bush was the only guy on offense that anyone talks about but we are keeping Daniel Thomas and Javorski Lane who I am not sure how I feel about him.
I do Beleive if we sign 2 wide receivers and a tightend then draft a DE ,a Safety , and two cornerbacks and a defensive tackle . then I will go on reccord and say I will be pleased and more optimistic about next season .
the fear is killing me because we were very inactive last year and this year is starting off slow too so I am very concern about being passed by other bad teams .
so my question is how patient should we all be if all we do is create holes and let better players get away ?

Jesus, you guys are like a pack of rabid dogs. Instead of dumping on his thread why dont you point him in the right direction? You know, that way going forward he makes threads more to your liking?
First of all what other teams are making moves Aqua? We made as big a move as anyone short of the Bowe signing and the Alex Smith trade (for whom we were never a player)....
Free Agency starts in about a week or so. We have time. Nows the time we should be looking at a Harvin trade in case Wallace and Jennings fall through. Who knows, maybe JI is doing just that....?shula_guy, Vengeful Odin, ToddPhin and 3 others like this. -
To Aqua: Nothing is guaranteed in free agency, which is why no one should get their hopes up too high beforehand. Sure, it's fun to look at who is available in FA in juxtaposition with the easiest team that said player projects to, but there are too many competitive and financial variables that it's just personally damaging to assume someone is going to land somewhere with any definition. -

but that is a ton of money for a guy that has baggage.

And here I thought you were reporting Hartline being resigned despite 1 TD all year.
Wait, WHAT!?! -
How long should we be patient? As long as we can stand to, I suppose. Or until you feel there is something more rewarding to spend our time and money on. If Los Angeles gets a football team and I respect the front office and owner, I may try to put some attention and time there. But Miami will always be like the girl who took my virginity, and broke my heart and gave me the clap, and yet kept luring me behind the bleachers and I knew she was no good for me but I kept going back there to lie in the soda and popcorn detritus until she teased me by showing them to me, then saying "No. You can;t touch." and pulling her sweater back down and doing up her coat buttons with the loops and wooden pegs, then leaving me there all blue-ballsed as my self-esteem slipped away. But someday, I tell myself, it won;t be like this. Someday she will treat me nice.

What bad news ? Teams can only sign their own FA until March 12th. We cannot even start negotiations with FA, other then our own, until tomorrow, March 9th. Why the friggin panic. And lets just say Minn offers Wallace 100 million dollars. Does that mean to make fans happy we should offer him 120 million dollars ? No f'n way. Then we go thru the draft and find a few WR. Sheesh, people have the tub warm and new razor blades ready and FA did not even start yet.
What other moves should we make ? Pay Smith a kings ransom to keep him ? No way. Pay Jake 11 million a year to keep him ? no way pay Reggie Bush 5 million a year to keep him ? no way. What you would then have is the same exact team we had last year. -

Yeah, and it could really be that either Irish wants folks to think that way or that most anyone who is relatively familiar with the NFL and the Fins would put 2 and 2 together and come up with Wallace as a prime candidate for us....
Lets see.... dire need of a WR (Miami - check). Enough money to potentially sign a guy wanting top 5 money (Miami - Check), the top FA WR available (Wallace - check)....I mean, it all fits...so us being attracted to Wallace is pretty much easy to connect... -
