So which games are you guys looking forward to?
I think the BCS games, for the most part, are pretty uninteresting.
Rose Bowl could be good, and the championship game. Fiesta maybe if OSU shows up big (which I think they will). But Orange and Sugar dont really excite me at all.
Other bowls that interest me is Boise St vs TCU, MSU vs Georgia could be a good game, not much else jumps out at me after an initial look.

Ohio St matches up well with Texas. The key to victory is Beanie Wells if he can find success against the Longhorn defense then he should pile on the yards. I also think Colt McCoy is going to have a mediocre game. I wonder how motivated this Buckeye team will be.

USC v PSU
VT v Cincy
TCU v Boise St
OK St v Oregon
Tulsa v Ball St -
U$C vs. Penn St. ought to be interesting. I might actually go to that one instead of the usual scalping.

The biggest travesty, and largely ignored at that, is Ohio State getting into a BCS bowl over Texas Tech. If you want to argue Boise State is a small school with an easy schedule, fine. There is no measurement, however, that could possibly put Ohio State over Texas Tech.
Record - TT
Strength of Schedule- TT
Big Wins- TT (Texas and OK State vs... Northwestern?)
The storyline would be tremendous. Texas seeks revenge on the team that killed their National Title hopes.
And for the record, I am not a Texas Tech fan. I am just tired of watching Ohio State transform into the new Notre Dame. Always getting into bowl games they have no business being in, and then subsequently getting the snot kicked out of them. I wonder how long it will be before Ohio State leaves the Big Ten and starts negotiating its own TV rights. -
In any case the BCS does not allow more than 2 teams from a conference in the BCS. I do agree Tech should be picked of Ohio St pitting Bama vs Texas and Tech vs Utah. Now in any case you will be eating crow Jan 6th.Fin-Omenal likes this. -
As for TT, I believe there is a rule where only 2 teams from any conference can get BCS bowl births. Meaning, TT wasnt eligible for a BCS bowl by virtue of Texas and OU already getting bids. I believe Wisconsin got screwed by this rule a few years back If I'm not mistaken.
As to your final shot at ND. Believe me plenty of ND fans know they get bowl games they dont deserve, but they dont rank themself, and they dont control the business decisions made by bowl committees.Regan21286 likes this. -
Texas Tech v.s. Ole Miss is what I can't wait to see. Ole Miss is going to come out swinging and have the fire power to do it. They have have the 3rd best offense in the SEC. I can't wait to see this game. It could show us an early glimpse on the National title game

I'm interested in Florida/Oklahoma, Ole Miss/Texas Tech, Penn State/USC, Boise State/TCU, Ohio State/Texas, and how could I forget... Iowa/South Carolina.
-
...Wow u better hope its not an "early glimpse" that game could get real ugly. -
I am interested in all of those games, and hopefully I'll have evry single one recorded too.
-
No, there your average run of the mill team Texas Tech is a top 10 BCS team with one loss.....ofcorse I think Tech will have no problem. Whats the spread? -
-
-
Loser has to have a sig.
Yours will be along the lines of admitting the SEC is not the best conference in cfb.(kinda sad u need a sig to admidt it) but I will take a SEC is the greatest and all the kids are lightning fast and Tim Tebow will win 15 Super bowls sig.
deal? -
-
I'll say Ole Miss wins 36-34 just because I think Miss can get pressure like Oklahoma did.
-
Fishy indeed. -
-
The key to that game, IMO, is if Tech comes out to show the Nation they were under appreciated. OR if they come out and are ho hum bc they don't care about this bowl. BC I think Ole Miss is going to come to play. If Tech does not take them serious, Miss will take them.
