A nice vignette, of course I'm a Wallace proponent, but for young players sometimes a Veteran liking them can make the difference between making an impact or even making the team.

Like Sparano's chat with Clifton Geathers on the practice field last week, this could be seen as Lil' Beast playing even more vs the Bengals.

And Beast had to cough up shoes?

Something that apparently would have been thought to help Wallace? If Beast had won the bet, would Wallace then not get the pair of Custom Made cleats?

I don't know how much cleats can help a guy when he already has a pair. It's not like he gave him the tendencies of each DB and taught him every technique Marshall knows.

    Shoes helped this guy...:D

Well, it just sort of struck me that in multi million dollar world of NFL football a dude would give a teammate a pair of cleats.

I would like to see Roberto used in certain packages to create mis-matches, alla a pass catching TE. He would be faced against the scrubs and he could def help our redzone offence.

My take is that The beast has identified the man who he wants playing opposite of him, and is trying to get him up to speed to supplant Hartline..

Hartline's fumble last week disgusted me, he looked like a little girl out there flailing around...That Smart dude better put away the books, get his *** in the gym, and start playing some freakin football.

BM should give JA a pair of his custom cleats. Might help him not slip while covering a WR.

I think inside the team they know Wallace is going to play more so Beast is hooking him up with the best gear so he can give his best effort.

Hartline does not yet know how to absorb hits, you could see that last season.

Agree, Hartline came out a year early and he does look under developed through the lats/tris/biceps area.

  • smahtaz Pimpin Ain't Easy

Hartline did get up and make the tackle. Let's not count the kid out yet.

Why not a little 4 wide action with Marshall and Hartline on the ends and Bess and Wallace working the middle?

What really surprised me about this situation is I had thought Patrick Turner was a shoe in to be the guy Beast took under his wing and showed the ropes to, Wallace was the #5 guy in TC behind Turner and Johnson and Pruitt and Moore.

What do you think the deal is with Pruitt? He made some plays on ST and a few catches in the preseason but was not really utilized in the last two games at all. Yet his still here.

I follow Pruitt on tweeter and the other day some Dolphin was busting on him for having stick arms, so I think the problem is Pruitt is physically under developed.

Next yr though, Practice Squad scholarship ends, so he will have to step up or step out.

hartline has been quiet this season, but im not ready to see him benched yet. i dont know what happend with him throwing that fumble up in the air like that. what impressed me about him last year was his desire and tenacity. like the time he ripped the ball out of a DB's hands.

id definitely like to see more of wallace though...as long as its positive.

  • smahtaz Pimpin Ain't Easy

I was really surprised when Wallace and Moore made the team that Pruitt didn’t get cut. He must have a pretty high ceiling in some area or be a good guy to have on the scout team to have taken up a spot for so long.

Are you serious, the guy has been an outstanding receiver for Miami, one fumble and he is trash ? Gosh I hope Bess doesn't fumble this week or you want him replaced too. Miami did not lose because of that fumble, the fact is Henne could not complete one pass with over two minutes left. why that Hennes fault or the play calling, I say six of one and a half dozen of another.

Seriously? A little over 3 catches a game and 39 yards a game is outstanding? That's pretty darn poor for any #2 WR.
