Mar 21 Meriweather's attorney, Adam Swickle, remains confident that his client is innocent of the Feb. 28 shooting in Apopka, Fla., that injured two men, the Boston Herald reports. "We have confirmed that Brandon was nothing but a peace-keeper," Swickle noted. "All of the witnesses confirmed that at no point did Brandon have a gun, or threaten to shoot, and did not shoot anyone."
Recommendation: The incident remains under investigation, but assuming the accuracy of Swickle's statements, then Meriweather would seem unlikely to face charges, and in turn, possible NFL discipline stemming from the shooting.
