Jesus, it was our last game and to the players it was like the last day of school for them until summer vacation, how many of you all actually cared and worked hard on the last day of school until break unless you were in all AP classes? I don't blame them since we weren't playing for anything anyway. Helps our draft position out a lot better in the end.
Tannehill is fine, don't understand why some people all of the suddenly hate him after this game.
Hope you all have a good off season. I will see some of you in the basketball section and the rest of you when the draft comes around.

I agree. I'm not mad we lost.
I am however upset at Wallace for acting like a pre-schooler and the idea of bringing Coyle back.speed, PhinFan1968, SICK and 1 other person like this. -
Some of you people are amazing...who died and made you thought police? The problem is not that fans over-react to a loss. The problem next year when the miss the playoffs again because the owner, hc, dc, and others suck is no one's going to care.

I'm more upset that we are keeping Philbin than that we lost.

It's easy to overreact to losing a game, one that was to a rival and not to mention all the bad feelings fans had bubbling underneath them for most of the season, heck even the decade or so. It's just another season where all you can do is throw up your hands in frustration and hope for the best coming up, but we know it just leads to more facepalming because the moves that some of us want to see won't happen. I'm just going to sit back and hope that sticking with the same regime will equate to the same success that Dallas had this year sticking with Garrett through three 8-8 seasons. Just bring me a sledgehammer at MLB and a big STRONG WR this offseason.

I just came from pulling Fin-O off the ledge. It was a difficult thing to accomplish, let me tell you. I almost gave up hope when I saw him wearing his Knicks jersey, so futile I thought the effort would be, but I just couldn't let him jump without trying to stop him.

I'm excited to see what next season will bring but I think we'll essentially know by week 8 whether or not there's any hope.
I don't like Philbin but I'm alright with him getting 1 more year. I definitely want to keep Bill Lazor around for offensive continuity.
I think there's a chance that this team really lights it up offensively next year. If the right things happened, I think we could become something special on that side of the ball, but at the same time, it could also fall to pieces quickly and we could be staring .500 right in the face again. The defense is utterly abysmal and Tannehill has flaws that rear up now and again.
I don't know. We'll see I guess. I'll remain optimistic but this might go nuclear if things fall apart and I can't really blame anyone. -
The jets didn't think so. They had a good football coach. That's why.

Another year, no playoffs, another year of Philbin and his .500 records, or one game over, or under 500. Great.
Fans have a right to be upset in these situations.
Unfortunately... there's nothing we can do. Complain for a few days... then move on to get beaten down by this team again next year. -
On the bright side, he Jets may keep Geno as their starter.

2 years in a row ****ting the bed against the stinkin Jets. 2 years in a row choking down the stretch and another season in the long line of mediocrity that is Miami Dolphins football. Missing the playoffs is one thing - missing it in this fashion is terrible.

Regardless, it's still the f***ing Jets, a game that should NEVER be treated as meaningless. They sure as hell didn't!! Losing to NY should never be tolerated or encouraged no matter the circumstances. It's the last game of the year against your biggest rival. If you're not playing for the playoffs, you sure as f*** better be playing for pride, especially if it's a chance to sweep them. Philbin deserves to be canned immediately for not having this team up and motivated for 60 minutes of this rivalry game; meanwhile, Rex had the Jets playing like it's the Super Bowl, and his team and fan base were rewarded for it.
