With another 1.5 sacks... Wake has moved to the top of the charts for sacks on the season, passing Clay Mathews who was shut out against the 49ers.
Hes also leading the league in holding calls against, and is either 1st or 2nd in the league in QB hurries.
In another dark day for the Fins... he continues to be a bright spot.

He's a heckuva player. I know he's 28 and I'd hate to see a lockout take away one of the years in his prime.

Wake should be in contention for DPOY with guys like James Harrison.
Its been fun watching him play. -
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo...noooooooooooooooo..we went through this crap with Jason Taylor "the team may suck but JT shined..."
**** that noise. -

I hope he has the time of his life in Hawaii and a big fat contract from Ireland when he gets home. -

This guy seems to alter almost every play, his motor is incredible. If we can find 1 more DE or LB in FA or the draft that can get pressure on the QB, we could have an elite D.

So, we're having this conversation at the tavern while watching the game today. And, the question is brought up as to who is the team's MVP to this point in the season. And, I say it's a toss up between Bess and Wake.
Honestly, I'd have a hard time deciding between the two. But, this much I know...Wake is "The Beast!" -

Here's a tibit on a report i'll be doing on him: His not good when rushing from the left side

I fear there is a danger in turning Wake into JT pt II, team loses, but Wake got his, the Dolphins should be bigger than that by now imho, instead we collapsed under 3 int's and it just makes me sick to my stomach. -
Its a message board to discuss things about our Fins. This is a thread talking about Wake and the emergence of it. If you dont think it should be discussed b/c we lost... then dont discuss it and dont post in the thread.
Let the people that want to talk about it talk about it...padre31 likes this. -

I don't see any problem praising the man even with the team's failure to succeed. He's played well and deserves some credit. Same as when JT deserved credit when he won DPOY on a 6-10 team.

Plus he didn't get much pressure rushing from that sidem -
Joe Thomas, holding early and often.

I hate to say it but this guy is becoming one of my favorite players in the NFL not in a Jets uniform. He made the best out of opporunity. Some people in this league need to do the same thing.
