Paul asks for a #1 WR and he gets Camarillo, Coles, Dexter Jackson (how many times is this guy going to be on the block?), and Jason Hill....Even I offered a 1200+ yard WR in Antonio Bryant....:pity:

 

He changed his post for a speedy WR, that's why I offered Hill/Jackson.

Bryant has that 9 mil cap number...

 

He'd like a speedy WR but it still asks for a #1 too. I read it as a number one WR who is speedy. Jackson was my 5th WR and Hill's at best a 2nd or 3rd.

Unfortunately there aren't many speed number one WRs...

I can think of a few. Steve Smith, Greg Jennings, Reggie Wayne, Roddy White, Lee Evans, one on my roster....

Yea. He's such a great returner and receiver that he got 0 recs (more fumbles than recs actually) and was replaced by an undrafted RB who outperformed him by so much, he went to the Pro Bowl...oh and he also has been traded at least twice by people in the know about Tampa Bay....:shifty:

He was a first year receiver, that's very irrational thinking IMO.

 

Not really. I didn't mind the 1st year part but what he showed on the field wasn't pretty for even 1st years. He showed little progress in being a receiver in terms of route-running and catching. Plus, all the other WR's drafted 2nd and 3rd eclipsed what he's done in terms of progression and production. Frankly, he's a long term project with high risk of washing out. There's a reason the real-life Bucs are looking at WR's in the draft.

 

I knew Jackson would be a project player, but there was a lot of potential to work with... even coming out of college. Considering Gruden is not a fan of playing rookies, it's no surprise that Jackson did not play much.

 

He did get playing time in the return game until Gruden had enough with the muffs and backward plays and a 1 or 2 plays on offense in 4 wide. Had time in the preseason as well but couldn't get it done against 2nd/3rd team defenses. Still some potential left but the chances of getting there are astronomical at this point.

 

I could care less about his return game...

 

Neither did I and that's why I traded him. I have no need for a WR who's as raw as sushi, can't hold onto the ball, and has a risk of washing out. And probably why he was traded by the Titans. And why he was traded by the Lions...

 

Most rookies are a risk to wash out...

And if he was traded by all that teams; he was acquired by all those teams. I don't think they'd acquire a player they have no interest in.

 

They aren't #1s, but Andre Caldwell and Jerome Simpson both run 4.4 40s or better ... PM me if you are interested.

 

Coles has been a #1 for years
