Yeah, tough luck for Brady and Belichick. Must have been too hard to steal those defensive signals on the road.
I wish I could bath in Brady's tears.Unlucky 13 and shula_guy like this. -

Of course I root for the Dolphins against the Pats, that's a given. But once the Dolphins are out of it, I have no problem with deserving teams winning it all- and yes, that's with the whole cheating scandal aside, granted. I'll be fine if Manning and the Broncos win it or San Fran, but I'm not all that big a fan of Pete Carroll, Golden Tate or Richard Sherman- if not for them I'd probably want new blood like Seattle to win it all. -

What is all this "we shouldn't," "how dare we,"...speak for yourself.
I personally loved watching them get smacked...I don't care about injuries, I don't care about roster...Bellicheat and Marcia are still there, so I love it!MikeHoncho and unluckyluciano like this. -
Sorry Jim, but I can't get on board with that. No way, no how. No sir. Next to a Dolphins victory, the next best thing is watching the Patsies lose. And, the expressions on Tammy's face when he's down and knows he gonna be on the losing end of things, well...that's just priceless. Yeah, I was happy to see it. Very. Happy.
Go Peyton. Get your second Lombardi, and firmly cement yourself as one of the greatest QB's of all time.MikeHoncho, MonstBlitz and Destroyer like this. -

The point is, the Pats had a heck of a run since about 2000, and it easliy could have been a lot better- 2 crazy late passes from Eli Manning and a major blown opportunity against the Colts, they would have won that SB easy- for those who don't think that they have been a great run organization for the last 15 years- I'll just disagree. And if we're out of it and they win, that's fine. To each his own. -

You don't get a consolation prize for winning. You win or you don't but there is no in between. Not to say as fans we wouldnt enjoy winning more, but in the end no title is no title. -
-
Jacksonville has a fanbase...a team that has never won a SB has a strong following partly because they used to be good once upon a time. Playoff-good, not SB good or SB champions.
By this logic Dan "The Man" himself is a complete and utter failure...17 years and no rings? What a joke of a QB right?.....MikeHoncho likes this. -

I suppose I'm not a Dolphins fan then because I couldn't care less whether the Patriots won or lost today. I don't care about anyone other than my team.

I honestly don't get any pleasure in the Patriots winning or losing unless it's against us, then obviously I would want to win. But once we're eliminated it doesn't matter to me anymore. A decade ago it was different but now that I see we have our own problems and can't even get to the playoffs, it gives me no joy seeing the fail. I would have loved to be in the AFC Championship game and lose 63-7 against the Broncos than not score more than 7 points in the last two games and get eliminated.
It's ridiculous really, when you think about it, other than the Browns and the Bills, is there a team with less playoff games the past 15 years than the Dolphins? Jesus..Mainge likes this. -

I get the Pats hate. To each his own on that. I despise a certain CBB team and relish every single time they lose in the NCAAT.
To each his own. I always root for the Dolphins over everyone and used to hate the Patsies but have come to respect Brady and Belichick. Belichick is right there with Shula, Walsh and Lombardi (#1) among the greatest coaches of all time and Brady is a top 5-10 QB of all time. Belichick reminds me a great deal of Shula in the early 80's in that he has the ability to win with mirrors - regardless of the talent his teams compete. Belichick has some very mediocre talent and lost their key cogs on offense and yet they still win.
So I respect them and also respect the hate.MikeHoncho and MIASportsFan like this. -
When they went 18-1, I was bathing in their tears. That meant something. But rival or not, they had an impressive season. 12-4, AFC championship game, in what's considered an off year. A tumultuous season. It was very impressive. I'm not feeling the hate today.
Part of me was hoping Brady and Bellichick would just win one more Superbowl so hopefully they'd go and retire and gtfo of the league.
Gods Id love some sub .500 ball from those pricks. -
They should have lost the tuck rule game. That one is too easy.
They should have lost to the Panthers, because go back and look at the way they were blocking Julius Peppers the whole game, with no flags. There, I have it down to one ring. They "should" have won one ring. This is fun.
We should change the way we look at Brady, whom we always see as more "clutch" than Peyton. Peyton is 2-1 vs. Brady in AFC Championship games, and has a better AFCCG winning percentage overall than Brady. We won't, though, because we're too busy "respecting" Brady to do that. -
It's one thing to be indifferent about Patriots winning or losing. I guess I can understand that, kind of. What I don't get is the people who feel the need to defend them. To take issue with those who are acting like very normal fans and taking pleasure in their failures.

If you want to have fun with this idea, go to Patsfans.com and look at all the threads about "next year we'll have Gronk back" right next to threads about "we can't re-sign Talib because he's been hurt in 2 straight championship games."
