IMO this doesn't change anything as far as our plans at the position.

If anything, this is a safety valve and Clemons ideally becomes depth.

I like the cohesive excuse for signing him. Ya know...Familiarity with Reshad Jones or some BS like that....
Actually I do like the we brought him back. I don't think he was really the problem in the secondary last year. I thought both safties were solid and Jones was borderline pro bowler material. Now that attention switches to Cornerback in my opinion. Got to figure that out. Captain Munnerlyn is not the answer.

 

Jonathan Cyprien is in play for Miami, IMO.

Clemons was apparently the 25th best safety last season according to Pro Football Focus, which puts him in the neighborhood of this year's free agent class. Good deal.

 

A great signing by the team. A guy who doesn't get much love from the fan base but who had a pretty good year last year

No market ey? Was a nice pick and an easy resign for us. I foresee a lot of competition in the secondary come camp time. Watch out for him, as he should be in make or break mode.

 

Yup but his QBR against was a nice 52.4. Allowed only 57% catch rate. Not bad really.

 

I really hope we get him!
