From PFT:
According to multiple reports, which have been confirmed by PFT, Mosley is meeting with the Dolphins. Mosley has reportedly also had talks about a return to Detroit, but hasn’t been linked with any other teams this offseason.
If Mosley lands in Miami, he’ll run into a familiar face at the team’s defensive line meetings. He spent the last two years with Ndamukong Suh in Detroit and spent a lot of time alongside Suh in 2014 after Nick Fairley’s knee injury bumped Mosley into a bigger role with the team. His jump in playing time came after a brief team suspension after marijuana was found in Mosley’s London hotel room after the fire alarm was disconnected.
Earl Mitchell, Anthony Johnson and second-round pick Jordan Francis are some of the current in-house options to play with Suh in Miami.

Is Jordan Francis any good?

did PFT really call him Jordan Francis ? lol

I love the "it wasn't me" defense. Doesn't matter how strong the evidence is, just keep saying it wasn't me. Give people a denial to believe in.
I like Mosley. I'm just curious what this means for a guy like Anthony Johnson. Probably not anything good. -
imo it seems tannebaum just can't help himself. No way do I see this as a Hickey move.

Jordan Phillips is Tannenbaum's guy. He banged the table for him. If you believe the beat writers (and I do, as I've had corroboration) then Tannenbaum flat out overruled some folks for Jordan Phillips.
Jordan Phillips could lose playing time to a veteran like C.J. Mosley who has skins on the wall and prepackaged chemistry with Ndamukong Suh.
So I'm not certain I'd call this a Mike Tannenbaum move. -

I know this is Omar but it's interesting what he says Hickey was planning to do in the 2nd:
http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/...hins-jordan-phillips-0511-20150510-story.html
"The source said general manager Dennis Hickey had his sights set on selecting a tailback in the second round and was scared off by Phillips' work ethic. After a pretty contentious debate between the GM and his boss, Tannenbaum got his way, and Phillips was selected, even though Hickey has final say on the Dolphins' personnel. It was the only time Tannenbaum, a newcomer, flexed his muscle in the Dolphins' draft room"

I think if this is a bad sign for anyone, it's Earl Mitchell.
He's a very similar player in terms of build and skill-set. He doesn't have the same upside, but he's more dependable. Mosley would also cost roughly 1/3rd of what you're paying Mitchell. This also comes during a time when you drafted a 2nd rounder to play that same position, and when you should be shedding salary at the unit as a whole.NorFlaFin and Pandarilla like this. -
Could be someone has an injury we don't know about yet or maybe someone has another issue.

I'm not sure what it means but I feel like we have the muscle in the room already...with the great development of players that our coach supposedly takes care of.....Why not play the youngins on the roster? You mean AJ Francis is not ready yet? Anthony Johnson? Kamal Johnson? DeAndre Coleman? Honestly, we can't get a solid rotation going with the players we have? Throw them in with Suh and they will probably play allot better and look better than they do where they are at now.

Mosely has been offered a contract, according to the Miami Herald!
“He had a great visit, and the Dolphins made clear they would love to add him as soon as possible,” his agent, Harold Lewis, told the Miami Herald. “The ball is in C.J.’s court. A couple of other teams are interested in acquiring C.J. We’re hopeful a decision will be made this week.”
I really don't understand this move unless the coaches are scared about the state of the run defense (New York game - with that coach now wielding Buffalo's defense) and lack of major growth at linebacker. Could it be that since there aren't any great linebackers to be had, they can both improve the run defense and as a knock-on effect strengthen the linebacker game?
That's all I can think of.
