I was just watching PTI and Dan LeBartard was the guest host and at the end of the show, when the "errors" topic came, he said "Last night i made a stupid comment about the Dolphins that i'm really not sure i coulda stated and more poorly, and for that i apoligize". Anyone know what exactly he said? I really hate this guy. He is always bashing Miami in some way.

what kind of reprocussion is he facing?
-
He sounds like a racist pig to me. What an idiot he is
-
We discussed this last night, what he said was in poor taste, I do not think he was being racial on purpose but it sure came out that way. If we exchanged the term Mexican with Black and whatever else he said with JEW or DOT HEAD would it still be ok?
I think he was saying this jokingly but it was in poor taste and he should at least be called to taste for his poor choice of words.. -
Sounds like something most people would be fired for. :001_rolleyes:
-
Hopefully he'll get canned, but I doubt he will..
-
he gets away with it on his radio show. an espn show is a whole different ballgame.
-
You can tell Kornheiser was shocked and did his best to save him and quickly change the direction of the discussion.
Open mouth, Insert Foot.....irrelavant comments in regards to our record really.Last edited: Jan 4, 2008Layfield likes this. -
Tony Korheiser and Dan LeBastard are both idiots. To me, this is just another sports "show" like Jim Rome's show. They talk "trash" and "shock" to get people's attention and only care about ratings! The less I see them, the better I feel. They don't have the guts to walk up to the players and say that in their faces...
It's ESPN that should can them...Last edited: Jan 4, 2008 -
I've always liked LeBatard...
-
What else is new, he always bashes the dolphins. I stopped listening to his show for that reason.
-
Colorado Dolfan ...dirty drownin' man?
Maybe he honestly just doesn't think Samoans can be FBs, Mormons can be QBs, or Mexicans can be WRs...
Either way, he's a tool. -
-
We should all report it and try to get him fired
-
It is no big deal. Just a little senseless humor that everyone in America gets over-reacted to. You people need to grow some thick skin. ASAP.
-
we talked about it last night and it got ugly because one member of the forum's wife (whose Mexican-American) got offended, and another member of the forum was saying it was no big deal and the comment was ironic and funny. Of course, it also got ugly cause only 2 of us saw the show, and everybody else just figured it was no big deal.
I sent an email to ESPN just to say I thought the comments were in poor taste, but I knew LeBetard was not trying to be racist, but they should definatly have him apologize because how he said it made it sound like we sucked because we had people of those ethnic groups on the team -
Neither of those guys are really NFL fans. All they talk about are peripheral issues and rumor and gossip. The only funny thing about them is how Kornheister spanks Lebastid all the time on the air. -
-
More like LeBastard

-
dumb comments
-
a moron who makes me sick to my stomach..didnt he have a big racial article a month or 2 ago?? Where he was defending black athletes? Now he's taking shots at other ethnic groups, Im sure he doesnt hate Mexicans or Mormons but even despite this last episode he is a goof ball who somehow got onto ESPN...I can tell you that everytime he is on PTI I DONT WATCH IT.. -
He always takes the role of being the accuser, making absurd reaches, to paint others as having made racist comments. Lo and behold here he is making comments worse than any I've heard him try and stir up racial claims with.
He is poon without a doubt. -
hes not racist. he basically needs to realize that he cant do/say the same things he does on ESPN as he does on his radio show
-
-
what WR of ours is mexican? cammarillo?
-
yes gish
-
The comments were dumb and didn't add anything to his debate. Society is too think-skinned and guys are too worried about who they offend where most talk shows have the game generic garbage.
Jason Whitlock who writes some great columns is often critical of African-Americans. Yet if he's caucasian and makes the same comments people are up in arms. I don't think most guys are coming from a place of hate. The comments were dumb, yet nothing for him to get fired over. -
parcells might have him hit, lots of swamps in south florida
-
Colorado Dolfan ...dirty drownin' man?
If Whitlock ever writes a piece about how horrible a team is simply because they have, for example, an African-American kicker, I'll change my mind.
LeBatard tried being funny and failed. If he had made distinct points about the weaknesses of each of those positions rather than saying the team failed because someone didn't "color-by-numbers" correctly, there wouldn't be any sort of outcry. What he did say was, in fact, ignorant and offensive.
IMO. :ffic: -
