If the Jets outright released him, then sure, check him out. But trading for him? I don't see that happening.

he should be expensive, he's the best in the game for many reasons, and completely changes the dynamics of playing defense..he's worth it.

I would not trade for him, it would cost to much in picks and money.

I think all of you are underestimating what this dude brings to the table..he should be paid #1 at his position...cause 2nd best is not close..

He said he was disrespected because no one notified him about putting out feelers..I agree with him on that.

The importance of cornerbacks has been greatly exaggerated.

Revis is a great player, but the position itself is not one to over invest in.

It would be great if you drafted him or if you were a "one player away" team, but for a team like us to make him the top paid player on our team is a waste.

There is nothing more important to defense then having enough ability to shut down a side of the field, I'm not just talking about shutting down their best receiver, this dude does more than that, he's absolutely the only corner in the league that makes me feel like it's not a waste to pay him as the best p,Ayer at his position.

That's not true.

First of all, Revis doesn't shut down a side of the field, he shuts down 1 player. Secondly, effective pass rushing is infinitely more important because that shuts down the whole passing game.

Not to mention he holds out every two years, only to injure himself right after holding out (Hamstring / ACL). I don't think he is worth $15M a year, especially after the ACL injury and his unknown recovery.

Disagree, I've seen him cover his player, use the sideline as leverage, anticipate greatly an area of the field Where he can come off his initial responsibility to cover someone else's..

That's on occasion. That's not the same thing as shutting down that side of the field.

I've see him cover NFL receivers and cover territory at the same time, all the time..he's a brilliant football player..not just just a shutdown corner..

Obviously he would take Revis. What kind of question is that? I think his point is the Jets would want way too much for a position that doesn't really have that high of an impact.

I heard something along the lines of there being really stiff contract language that prevents him from even thinking about holding out.

If that's the case, I think the Jets are going to keep him another year. People act like a team HAS to get rid of him. I don't see why. Just like I thought everyone was out-thinking themselves when they speculated on just about every veteran or draft quarterback for Chip Kelly's offense EXCEPT Michael Vick. Errr, duh...Michael Vick, Chip Kelly, match made in heaven.

The relationship between the Jets and Revis is not so broken that they couldn't make it another year together, especially if the contract language basically makes it impossible for him to hold out.

No, I'd rather not invest that much into a corner.

I'd rather invest that into a pass rush. Again, you think half the field (even though its not really half the field) is more important than the whole passing game.

well lets see what they want then, and darrelle Revis makes a very high impact on a defensive scheme and the payers around him, Revis allows other players to cover less territory, more freedom to roam, to blitz.
