I am so pumped! I don't know that its EVER happened that the guy I targeted as my hope in January was our pick in April. I'll be happy all weekend now.

No excuse for Tannehill this year. If we dont make the playoffs we need to be done with this mediocre guy.

I also think people who don't like Parker so much (probably because Parker has problems getting separation) should realize he acts as a perfect complement to our other WR's. Therefore, I wouldn't evaluate Parker thinking he's meant to be a "true" #1 receiver. Instead, I suggest looking at the diverse skill sets we now have with our GROUP of WR's. A good OC would salivate at the possibilities.

Along with his speed and other good qualities, he can go up and get it. That's what the team needed.

Especially in a thread about our first round draft pick.
While, what you're saying holds merit, unless of course we turn that 5th year option into a long term extension very soon, it's just a ridiculous comment in a thread about our newest draft pick.
Just my two cents...
As for Parker. I like the pick. He was apparently a target. We ended up getting him. Didn't have to move up. We have a solid WR group, in a passing league, in a league filled with stout DL's, we have guys that can work underneath, and down field equally. We've built a very nice offense.
As for Gordon, while I'd have liked that talent, it just wasn't a need. We have Miller, and can grab someone like Duke in the second round now to fill out the RB position. Let's see what happens here to decide if we're going to regret that or not. -

I hope Tannehill realizes the Dolphins are going all in on him as a franchise QB and he actually keeps progressing and becomes one of the best.
If he can't throw at least 30 TD next year he's not the future. -
If the criticism was, RT17 now has no excuse to not put up elite numbers, I would agree with that. To say if we miss the playoffs it is on him is short sighted. Tannehill and the O did more then enough to win games for us. He didn't let Aaron Rodgers fake spike us, or Peyton Manning go berserk in the 4th. The D cost us the playoffs this year. There is no way to say they didn't.
That being said, stoked about Parker. Size, route running, and ball catching skills. Redzone just got easier. Very excited about the season. -

I like this pick. I really thought that Miami had to go with a high-upside play-maker. I was hoping the team would land Gurley, Gordon, Parker, White or Cooper. As suspected, Parker and Gordon were the guys that fell and I am very happy Miami added Parker. I think he'll have a bigger impact than Melvin Gordon would have.
I like Parker a lot as a prospect but does anyone notice that Parker never seems to smile? Ne almost seems depressed! He often answers questions very matter of factly in just a few words. He seems almost unable to communicate at times. He's not Lamar Miller but he seems extraordinarily reserved. That's kind of weird. I'm hoping it's not a sign he's emotionally messed up or insanely dumb. Maybe he's the most confident player in the world and doesn't feel he has to say much?!
I hope this turns out to be a case where we all look back and think, 'well, at least he could play!' ;)
I'm happy. I'm glad Miami finally went after an impact player. I'm very excited to see what Parker can do in this offense. -

We have quite the young WR corps too. Three guys who are signed for at least two years and under 23. When's the last time we went into an offseason with WR nowhere on the list of needs?

But the true test of Tannenbaum/Hickey begins with our 2nd round pick. As was mentioned before, we need an OG, and we also need a MLB. If we can fill those two needs with good players in this draft, this team is heading for the playoffs. -
