it looks strangely different around here. As a person, I don't like change. But its been a while since we refreshed around here, so looking forward to seeing what this "skin" is going to look like. Gonna take a while to get used to things around here, but as I've learned, even if at first I dont necessarily like it, change is usually a good thing. Nice job guys.

Youtube, but I suspect it is my Browser, I'm using Opera and I think other guys are seeing the videos and I'm not, let me switch.

That was the issue, firefox managed it just fine.

Well, logging on was a PITA. Some blank advertisement box was covering up the login portion of the screen (for me anyway). Otherwise, just a big time change that's gonna take some gettin' used to.

True. Folks, you have to realize that this version of our forum software was not just an upgrade; this new version was re-coded from the bottom up. The provider of our forum software no longer gives full support to the version that we previously had and, soon, we would have no support at all. We had to move.

There are bound to be hiccups and unforeseen problems but, in the long run, this is where we are now and will be for a while.

What is your screen resolution? What browser and OS are you using?

Good timing. I think the site needed a refresh. I'm liking the Facebook connectivity piece as well.

Alright I switched to Chrome for the forum switch over and had the same problem as GMan mentioned, but I simply hit the larger window box and once the forum was on full screen there was no longer an issue.

No issues logging in here. Safari 5.0.2 on OS X, 1440x900 res.

Is there a highlight list of major changes in the new version? A lot of forums I go to are upgrading to this version of VB, but beyond the visual refresh and the YouTube tag, I’m not sure what all is different/worth upgrading for.

And I’d definitely like to bring back the ability to show/hide the subscription, infraction, and thanks panes in the user control panel.

Yeah, I have this issue on my laptop (which is an antiquated piece of **** BTW). It affects lower resolutions. That's another thing on the to-do list.

It looks like the forum collided with a mentos commercial :)

Looks good so far.

its just a shock when you see something time after time for so long and then it changes. imo, one of the biggest draws to the site (not for me and many others: we arent going anywhere) was how nice it looked. you guys did a really good job making the site look super professional and really easy on the eyes. i have no doubt that when everything is done, it will look great again

i asked this years ago, but is there any chance of getting the forum jump at the top of the page like we had back in the day?

also, is there any increased functionality that im not seeing at first glance?

yea me too, but surprise to me I figured out the way around it.

and I don't see the ad either, which is just a waste of a good PITA if you ask me.

THIS, it also seems to load much slower as the old version

Im not having any issues with load times whatsoever.
