He had been considered "immature" and "lazy" while in JAX. Don't know much about his off the field issues, but I know he screwed up a second time earlier this year.

You think they really go after him? I know Pat Turner hasn't shown up, but hopefully he can ste up and be our red zone target and we can use that roster spot somewhere else.

The only way I would go near Jones is for the league minimum. He's shown absolutely nothing thus far in his NFL career that would lead me to believe he's anything special at wide receiver ... and he's already had 4 years to prove himself.

 

Yeah, after the cocaine bust he got into a jam about driving with a below the legal limit Blood Alcohol level.

If we sign him I have confidence Ireland and BP feel he is done screwing up...with that said he makes the WC that much more effective..now we can bring back that QB aspect of it without actually having to show our hand early in the play..MJ would be lined up as the single WR and could go out on a route block or shift to QB and throw like a QB...could be very exciting indeed.

 

Better option than Patrick Turner.
