Belichick sees how poor the chemistry is between Ryan and Wallace so he will smartly force us to connect there to beat them.
He has rings for a reason.

He is going to use a great scheme to take away that over the top route to Mike Wallace because he knows the tendencies of him and Ryan Tannehill.. He knows that Wallace is limited and not varied in different routes and will critique a deep safety over the top to bait for an interception, like the alley-hoop basketball INT last year from Devin McCourty to Marquice Cole where they basically telegraphed a go-route deep to Mike Wallace because they knew where he was going to go. And that was marquice cole, so you don't need an elite CB to cover that, so Alfonzo Dennard or Logan Ryans for example can take on that responsibility leaving Darrelle Revis to cover someone else like Gibson or whoever being that Jamie Collins will be on Charles Clay. Having Darrelle Revis gives Belichick so much more flexibility to really use his wizardry on defense that we haven't seen in years .. finally have a Championship defense I believe. Hartline and Gibson will have to step up big while Charles Clay and Mike Wallace are taken out of the game.

I think Belichick probably realized that Mike Wallace really didn't fit into last year's offense, and any emphasis on covering Clay couldn't be countered effectively by throwing the ball to Wallace.
This year's offense, we'll see. -

Let then take away Clay. For the first time in forever we have multiple weapons running around. Wallace, Hartline, Gibson, Matthews, Moreno, Miller. They can't take them all away.
Bring it on, *****es! -
That six yard pass won us the game.

Before you go off, ftr, Revis imo is the best all around corner I've seen. -
I think that Gator can come up big for us this week...they will have enough trouble trying to cover Clay and that will leave Hoskins with many open spots..they are going to do this so let's watch the match ups...Bring em' on!!! Let's get this Mutha started.

Giardi's breakdown of the coverage on Clay last season.
"So what will Belichick and his staff do this time around? With a maturing Tannehill at the quarterback spot, the challenge is steep, but perhaps we’ve seen a glimpse of what will happen Sunday, especially with regards to corners like Ryan, Alfonzo Dennard and Kyle Arrington playing the other safety spot alongside McCourty, giving the Pats more cover guys in a league that is pass first, second and third. Clay’s a unique weapon and deserves the respect he got a season ago.
I suspect he’ll see more of those players - and McCourty - then he will of traditional safeties like Pat Chung and Duron Harmon. But as always, Belichick won’t let this one out of the bag, at least not until game day."
