A couple of the local reporters are talking about this today. Apparently Dolphins are practicing in full Tuesday and Wednesday, with Thursdays off, and then the usual walk thru on Friday (assuming games on Sunday as normal). This is different than the normal schedule of Wed/Thurs practice with Friday walk thru. Curious as to the positive and negatives at play here. Could it be a big deal either way?

Well, having worked for a former NFL player, I know they get 1 day per week off. It was traditionally Tuesday for most teams. Monday was for film review, recovery, watching tape on the next week's opponent, etc. (more for the coaches). I think if Miami plans on instituting practices with full pads; I believe teams are allowed 14 per season, then having a day off toward the end of the week helps players recover better.
Primary installation and game-prep is usually done in the first two full practices, so I don't see it being a big deal.mi2cents, Bpk, Rocky Raccoon and 3 others like this. -
