Great! He must see us as a team on the rise. Maybe we can get a discount....
-
Interesting....
-
Our line is a top 5 line the second he signs. I can't remember the last time i could say that.
And he will sign. -
This is great news..and I mean GREAT news.
I hope you're right snips. I hope he does sign..and quickly.
We bring in Coles and focus our draft on loading up on defense. -
wow, great news if were on the top of Brown's list. Wow.. What a great line we would have if we land him as well. Outstanding!
Great tidbit in there at the bottom too, with the phins and Bell being close to a done deal as well. Lots of good, exciting news in this article.late again likes this. -
Hey Brandon, I will just add to your post

J. Long J. Smiley Brown R. Thomas V. Carey
with Satele backing up the G and C positions. what a Great O-line thats all I can say...Ronnie Bass likes this. -
This would go a LONG way to addressing our tough schedule this year, you have a top five line in the league you can beat anybody.

I bet we look to move Satele in a trade to offload his salary and sign a cheaper backup.
-
As a fan, I can't wait to see us run the ball up the middle; without Brown or Williams being hit in the backfield or having to juke someone back there. This is the year to truely judge how good Brown is and based off what I have seen from him, I exspect huge numbers!!!
Ronnie Brown for MVP Fantasy HB next year, get him while he is hot!!! :up:cdz12250, The Aqua Crush and Ronnie Bass like this. -
In addition to the post I made earlier here, here is more info regarding Brown:

We have a major tax and real estate availability advantage.

But i do agree fully with you, if we can get JBrown great, if he comes below what we expect him to get, even better :knucks: -

The last minute resigning of Crowder tells me we aren't focusing on anyone else but Brown at the start of FA. If the FO believes he's the guy, then make it happen boys, and get him down here.

NO!!! Not to the Rams! And 8 million per year is to much!
-
I say forget it. We should just draft Antoine Caldwell, Eric Wood, Jonathen Luigs, Max Unger or Alex Mack in this draft.
-
So much for Miami being at the top of his wish list...
And I would give him 8. It all depends on how much gaurenteed money is in his contract though. -
Just a visit. Most likely to drive up his contract.

"Speculation has run rampant that St. Louis is the favorite to land Brown, who can play guard or center. The Baltimore Ravens still are interested in re-signing Brown, but St. Louis will have the first opportunity".

Not looking good as of now. -
We may bring in Joe Berger

If we backed away this quickly, then the brass obviously feel Center position isn't in that much dire straights as some have speculated on here. I've felt all along that Satele's shortcomings are miniscule compared to other postions we need to fill or upgrade.
If Fins brass indeed think upgrading Satele is a crucial move needed then I imagine we'll pick one of the 2 highly touted Centers coming out in the draft.
Brown's played all of 1 year at the Center position and he wants to be paid as a top Center? Pass. -
This would be AWESOME!!
If we can get him signed, that is huge. Takes up alot of our available cap, certainly well worth it. But could also bolster my opinion that Marvin Harrison could be our FA at WR. He is a lot cheaper then Coles or TJ. Especially if we spend the cash on center. -
The Oakland Raiders have gotten into the race for the services of free agent center Jason Brown.

I dont know how we are going to afford him. I think currently we are only about 5 or so million under, we still have rookies to sign
