Complete with Dishonorable Mentions.
Alan Faneca being one.
Actually, the Jets cleaned up on this list. :chuckle:

I thought Ernest Wilford would be on that list

A shame JT had to go so far down...the injury really hurt him IMO
-
I abs. love the fact that 2 of the players on that list are players we were supposed to get over Long. Dorsey and Gholston had terrible rookie campaigns. Makes BP and crew look even smarter.

Nah i think everybody literally forgot about him.
As for JT, no surprise he was on the list. I mean you dont get not put on after only coming up with 3.5 sacks after being a pro bowler last year. He'll play somewhere else next year and have a decent season (5-7 sacks, 45-55 tackles) and then he'll retire. Hopefully as a dolphin from a one day contract sort of thing. -
The only thing about the JT thing is the same thing w Porter the yr prior, you put these guys out of position you expose them and their weaknesses.

According to him it was the coaches fault for not giving him enough PT...:pity:

I'm an LSU fan, i watched the kid play for years and I can say with confidence he's phenomenal. He's not a NT though, so i knew we weren't taking him, but if the Chiefs know anything about football, and continue to let him play, they will be happy with that pick eventually. -
What Brett Farve doesn't even get an honorable mention ? Don't they know Farve worked very hard to lead all QB's in int's this year?
-
ALTHOUGH, if there were a column for just "Most disappointing team" i think the jets would win. -
I think Dorsey will prove himself worth the pick if they stay with Herman Edwards. All bets are off if they bring someone in that wants to change what they do on defense. -
I'm not surprised with Dorsey being there. I didn't think he would the force that he was in college his first year in the NFL.

Wasn't much of a Dorsey fan, but hey, at least it made my 1st round pick of Jake Long in the GM League look a helluva lot better.

2005: 20 TD, 29 INT
2006: 18 TD, 18 INT
2007: 28 TD, 15 INT
2008: 22 TD, 22 INT
So I guess you could say he came back down to late-career earth. The competition was coming off a Pro Bowl (Anderson) and contemplated suicide (Young).
Derek Anderson, man that guy fell. I really thought he was gonna build off last season, he was so good. I was all about the rumor last year about the three-way for him and our #1 pick. I really thought he was gonna become a franchise QB. -
One factor seems to be in common with many on that list. They were just signed to a big fat contract.
Carey and Crowder are due for a big contact .Food for thought -

Miami ~$20 million under the cap.
Jest ~$10 million over the cap
Miami--has solid quarterback and possible QBOTF
Jest--has 40 year old QB that is making $13 million, played poorly and might retire and not much in the cabinet.
Miami--solid front office (finally) and solid coaching staff in place.
Jest--just fired HC and GM that isn't so solid
Miami--drafted very good LT in first round of last draft
Jest--drafted a workout warrior that wasunimpressive to say the least.
I think I'll take our situation, thanks!

With all the hype that came along with him, I'm surprised Brett Favre wasnt on the list. I mean, he was supposed to be the second coming of JC himself. He got the key to the city, rang the opening bell at the Stock Exchange, and was even given a tree that was named after him! There was all this talk of Super Bowl, when he arrived. And look what happened. He'd be #1 on my list. But maybe thats just me!
